I think Madonna has it down for worldwide success. She'll sell the most records worldwide and have a #1 single worldwide. Not sure about the States for her, but I can see her going to #1 on itunes even if there isn't much radio play.
I'm really not sure about Mariah and Christina........it depends where they decide to go musically.

Madonna has the biggest launching pad out of the 3. If she cannot get a decent hit after debuting the song for billions of people around the world, then something is seriously wrong.

I'll go with C/X since she did just have a smash #1 that did better than anything M, and Mimi ever released.

Bump! With Mariah and Xtina confirmed to release new single in August.
So, Madonna's last album MDNA debuted at #1 on Billboard 200, with more than 300k, definitely hitting gold. and produced another top 10 Hot 100, #10 hit, Give Me All Your Luvin', of course with a successful tour. Let's see if eitehr Mariah or Xtina may surpass Madonna's comeback in 2012.

None of them will challenge her tour #s. They may, howver, have more hits & longer legs for their comebacks, doe. I'm expecting Mariah to only be a threat, TBQH.

I wasn't here when this poll was created but I'm surprised by the results.
Madonna's "comeback" was such a nonfactor in the US at least. I know that abortion of a song with Nicki and MIA went top 10 but it was such a disastrous record and even though her anti-Gaga antics on her tour was the coolest thing she's done since her JT collabo, she really just kept on being the Madonna that we've known her as in the past 5 years: legendary, iconic but aged and somewhat of a nonfactor in mainstream pop culture.
I'm REALLY surprised that Christina came in 2nd. I know her stans have gone as far as to defend Bionic but there's a reason why they call her Xtincta imo. Sure she rode on Maroon 5's party tails with that one hit but I cannot see her having a major comeback. She's just...not really marketable anymore, in my opinion. Her vocals will come off as a trashier Adele now that Ms. Adkins has rebirthed "blue eyed soul" (or w/e nonsense people called Christina's vocals), she has shown the notorious Xtina stank attitude all over the voice and in popular culture, and, some might say most importantly, her image is really not in a good place. I barely recognize her nowadays...I feel like it's because I, like most people, have forgotten about the trainwreck that was Bionic and remember her most recently during her petite, pretty jazzy phase with the aptly titled "Back To Basics." Her comeback would absolutely shock me, especially now that she's in her third year on the voice; she might've lost the comeback novelty.
Finally, Mariah. Even though I think she's done enough in her career where she can go platinum or plexiglass[/Patti Labelle] and it won't matter...she's definitely the most marketable of the three. Let's be honest, Mariah looks damn good for a strong 42 year old and even a SECOND Christmas album from her scanned Gold. And history has shown Mariah knows how to blend what's hot with her signature. I'm really surprised she didn't win this poll. And that people thought Madonna, in a music industry that is probably most discriminant against age right now than it has been in a long time, would break back into mainstream popularity at 53.

So what has Madonna sold officially? 600K in America and 1.5 worldwide? I am interested in sales mostly-Madonna will obviously crush in tour numbers. I can see Christina and Mariah doing less than that or at best around the same. Maybe I am not having enough faith in their teams right now.

Madonna flopped. I see Mariah's era being similar to the last, having only one major hit, and selling decently. Christina will almost definately outdo Bionic, thanks to MLJ. I see her having the biggest era of the three.

I see her having the biggest era of the three. Christina already outdid Bionic with the Burlesque which has sold 600k in the US and is still selling. Not to mention she's on the Emmy nominated huge successful show called The Voice. I think she's gonna do fine and at the very least go platinum in the US

Mariah - she's getting Idol promotion, etc etc etc
Christina - I think her new album will do better than Bionic.

Madonna still. The bigger touring act and, from the way Mariah's first single is being described, it wont sell near the amount MDNA has WW. I don't expect much from Christina. Madonna flopped. I see Mariah's era being similar to the last, having only one major hit, and selling decently. Christina will almost definately outdo Bionic, thanks to MLJ. I see her having the biggest era of the three. I'm pretty sure MDNA will outsell Mariah's last album, so yea...

Madonna didn't really have a comeback though considering MDNA didn't outperform Hard Candy.
I still see Christina being the most likely to outperform her last album.
Mariah may be able to outsell Memoirs with the American Idol promo, but I still don't see her getting any more than one hit (if that).

Well, aside from touring, I think Madonna is pretty much out of the question. Its tough to judge now because we haven't heard Mariah or Xtina's new singles. I think Mariah's team will be using a different approach this time. Hitting formats directly, but separately. Similar to what Usher and Nicki tried to do. However, I think Mariah will be more successful in doing this. Xtina of course has The Voice, and the radio success of being tagged onto MLJ. Not to mention she's 12 years younger than Mariah. I can see her having some decent Pop hits since she's supposed to be working with Dr. Luke, but I'm not sure if that will transfer to album sales. Single success: Xtina Album success: Mariah

Well clearly the pressure is on Christina, Mariah and Madonna at this point are made legends regardless of album sales, but to answer the poll question i think all 3 will be do about the same ballpark figures

So far, Madonna's in the lead, however Mariah and Christina are already seeing some good buzz thanks to Idol or The Voice.
