I love the cover but the editorial is really boring.

Yeah, I love the phone shot and the one with her band, but that's about it. But the cover is gorgeous. And the article is amazing. Here it is, if you haven't read it yet.

T4P...Great article. I like the styling of the editorial because it seems like something that Taylor could eventually ease into. :)

That was a really good article. I like that fame and success hasn't changed her one bit.

That was a pretty good article. The break up she's talking about that messed her up isn't Jake is it?
Oh my. You can tell another Taylor era is gearing up. I'm already trying to figure who inspired what.

I really hope she moves past the "break up" and "he cheated on me" songs. I want a mature Taylor.

Because all break up and cheating songs are immature?

Not always, but it's getting kind of old to be hearing that stuff all the time from her.
If she want's to write break up songs, how about writing about moving on and being strong about it? I think that's the direction she should go in for the fourth album.

Every singer writes shitloads of break up songs/songs about heartbreak. I really do not understand why Taylor is always the one to be crucified for it.
ON TOP OF THE FACT that she has songs that aren't about "heartbreak".

This is probably one of my favorite shoots from her in a long time. No trace of fairy tale and all mature, strong, and gorgeous woman. Subject matter doesn't matter to me, but I would prefer some maturation of her writing skills. Speak Now did sound like she grew as a songwriter, but even more on her next cd would be nice.

The video for Ours is really good, she always knows how to create those magical moments (or at least her directors do).

HQ Cover: So gorgeous, her eyes just pop. The editorial shots are great, I love the 60s/bohemian look she has. Does anyone else see Stevie Nicks?

“We will have a new Taylor album in October. The record is genius. I can’t wait for the fans to hear it.” — Scott Borchetta at the Country Music Hall of Fame (January 21, 2012)
To add to what Scott Borchetta said at the panel today at the Country Music Hall of Fame about Taylor’s album coming out in October and being genius, I know someone that went, and he also said that he’s heard 12 songs and that none of it will sound like “Safe & Sound”. - tumblr

:'( It's starting again. Also, Taylor was at Sundance this week (not sure why she was there though).

I hope at least one or two songs are similar to S&S.

I think there still might be. She didn't record S&S until right before Thanksgiving. I would imagine all 12 songs he's heard were written before then. She might've been inspired by the positive reaction S&S got. Plus, she still has 5 or so more months to write.
I just want 3 things from this album:
1) Less pop. More folk, acoustic, country, rock, whatever. Just less Love Story, YBWM, Sparks Fly, SOU -ish. (I still find it funny that the last song she wrote for Speak Now, was the one that would've fit easiest on Fearless)
2) More introspective. I've always said she writes more like a songwriter, than a singer-songwriter. She's good at writing about situations and stories, but not so much about her own true, honest feelings and thoughts about herself.
3) A songwriting collaboration/duet with Ryan Adams. I love him and his sound. And I think it'd garner instant credibility for the new album. I think he'd do it too, if she asked. She's a fan of his. And he's a fan of hers, I think. (He follows her on twitter.)
Taylor was in Sundance for the 'Ethel' documentary, btw. Taylor read a book on the Kennedy women and became kind of a 'fan' of the Kennedy family. And somehow ended up meeting Ethel Kennedy and her daughter Rory (who made the documentary). So I guess they invited her.

So..is it too early for me to start the album four thread? Yes. Because I'm going to start it. Wait until Ours' run has ended and maybe something a little more concrete, then you have the go-ahead.

I figured that it would be wise to wait until "Ours" is done doing its thing. Hopefully by then we have a title.

There was a recent Taylor Swift article in the New Yorker? in which she says she wants to be like Lori McKenna when she grows up. She has good taste. I suggest you folk check out Lori McKenna. For the record, she wrote a few Faith Hill songs including Stealing Kisses.

I don't think we'll have an album title until July. There was a recent Taylor Swift article in the New Yorker? in which she says she wants to be like Lori McKenna when she grows up. She has good taste. I suggest you folk check out Lori McKenna. For the record, she wrote a few Faith Hill songs including Stealing Kisses. They wrote a song together for Taylor's next album. I don't know if it'll make it or not, but it's called "I Bet You Still Think About Me".

I couldn't remember when we got the title for this album, so I was being optimistic.
Lori McKenna is a brilliant songwriter.

Yeah, we didn't hear anything about the album until she did that Ustream chat on July 20th. Then Mine was suppose to be released on August 16th, but of course it leaked a couple weeks early. Then the album cover was released August 18th. Track list was September 22nd. And we didn't get song samples until like, a few days before the album release. I remember because it was within 24 hours of the album leaking.
But at least with Speak Now, we knew of most of the possible song titles through song databases, like HFA. But her people cleared the databases from all the new songs. And don't post them anymore. We only know about the Lori McKenna song because it was a co-write, and I guess Lori's people added it.

^ Damn, I can't believe it's already been that long since the Speak Now era began. It feels like it was just yesterday.
