This is why I love Britney stans. Any negative controversy that comes her way is immediately beaten back by a flood of songs, performances, and other examples of how awesome she is.
Road-tripping tomorrow and will be cranking Blackout the whole way. Cannot wait to renew my soul with "Break The Ice," "Get Naked," and "Everybody."

Thank you for bringing up get back. The start of the second verse kills me every time. And then that amazing bridge revives me and life is received. Thanks again!

"(I Got That) Boom Boom" is a jam. Also, I just listened to "Get Back" for the first time and it was pretty good.

Something tells me that all this drama was created on purpose to give some buzz to Brit so as Alien finally becomes the monster single it deserves to be. I'm sure she has already filmed the video. Something told me the same thing. This has given her more word of mouth promotion compared to anything involved with her whole album.

The Blackout era is ICONIC in my book. It was first and only Britney Spears purchase. The demos leaking alone was sh!tting on lives. I love the contrast between the demo versions of Why Should I Be Sad, Get Back, Break the Ice (THAT DANCE BREAK!!!), Perfect Lover (aka Got Me High), Hot as Ice (aka Cold as Fire), etc. to the mastered album versions with the various endings and tweaks. Ugh and the demo version of Outta This World with Keri Hilson doing the intro! I'm gonna go jam to that album now.

"Blackout" is my favorite album of all time. Nothing like it. One of my favorite female albums of all time. My holy trinity right now is Blackout, Butterfly and The Velvet Rope. 5/5 stars albums. Some women know how to push .99- 1.29 singles (does anyone remember a album from them? quick?) and others know how to push albums and have classics that people remember decades or even centuries from now. Sorry but not sorry, thank you for all the cutesey singles ladies but I want a album, I want to light candles, turn off the lights, pour a glass of wine and listen to A BODY OF WORK and not f**king skip the entire CD, yeah. The wine should festive and celebratory over the album, not a means of sitting through it. Although a good roar of laughter is sometimes fun.

Ironically, I prefer Blackout most every other time except when I'm drunk... then I hit up In the Zone.

If handled properly, and the VMAs performance being better/never happening, Blackout could have been her biggest era ever. The potential for singles on that album is insane.
Toy Soldier/Gimme More/Get Naked/Piece of Me should have been massive.

I was actually talking about the hype surrounding Alien and how it would be perfect timing for it to be a single. This makes even less sense than what I originally thought you meant. The publicity its receiving is wholly negative outside of Britney fans, and even a lot of them are critical. Why would her team sink the money into releasing a song that's being dragged up and down the internet as a single just to watch the world laugh? The label certainly wouldn't pay for it.

Clearly old people are the ones going to concerts the most, in the top 10 outside of JT the rest are on a milk carton.

I've actually heard somebody compliment her on how the leaked vocal sounded. They stated that any normal singer when doing a take in the studio would normally sound like that. I swear somebody played around with those vocals and pitched a few notes to make her sound bad. Spears is a professional. She wouldn't leave the studio without making sure her vocals sounded pretty close to perfect.
I'll say it again though...I think somebody internally in her team released the vocals to get some hype up on "Alien". They shouldn't waste what was a pretty good pop album. "Alien" should definitely be a single.
