I thought Blake Shelton's next CD was going to be a tribute CD to Ray Price. Silly me!

Despite the lead single, Blake Shelton's new CD has some interesting track titles that lead me to believe that this album will at least be an improvement over Red River Blue.

Billboard is reporting that the Zac Brown Band will be releasing a CD this year. Also, an acoustic CD is in the works as well.

Makes a ton of sense since the band will be on Southern Ground (Distributed through RED) with the Atlantic deal over now. They will likely release stuff every year with special things like the Acoustic records thrown into the mix.

Wonder if Jump Right In will still be released or if this means they're moving on from Uncaged already? It seems too early to move on, but they haven't announced a new single in a timely fashion, so it seems a bit confusing.

Man, I really don't know how I feel about a new ZBB album so soon. I mean, I like getting new music but I wanted both "Jump Right In" and "Day That I Die" to get released from Uncaged, as those feel like smash hits.
I'm not totally surprised by the news, but at the same time, I am a little bit, as I did read an article just a couple weeks ago where one of the band members had mentioned that they felt Uncaged had a lot of life left in it yet. He said something about 'going deep' with it so I was thinking at least 4 singles, possibly 5.
I hope, at the very least, that they release JRI. I'm sure it'll be a quick-climber and then they can think about putting the new album out late summer/fall.

Blake's album cover is horrendous. Really? Despite by displeasure towards Blake, his comments, and his music of late, I actually really like that album cover. I've pretty much lost patience with him due to his attitude but I know I'll still give this album a shot. I own pretty much all his singles but I've never purchased a full studio album and lately, he hasn't exactly helped his cause, but we'll see if there are some good songs on this album.

I like the backdrop of Blake's cover and the font, but Blake himself looks awful on it; he looks like a corpse.

I am excited to see what Maggie Rose has to offer, my only complaint with her album cover, but she is a realitvely new artist with not a huge following yet but if I just looked at the album cover, I would think she is a pop artist. Might be a slight critism, but if you are a new artist you might want to make your album cover jive with the industry you are going for.

^ I know it is a minor issue, I am just trying to say if you are a new artist, maybe make it more obvious that you are a country artist.

It looks very distorted in a sense. It's like they took a regular picture and put a sepia tint over it 5 times. Blake looks very unresponsive in his face, and he looks way too orange based on the background. It's just very weird to me. I like the font, though.

Nice to see Maggie put some new songs on her album. BUT how in the world is WHISKEY AND A GUN not there??? That's the best song she's ever cut, and one of my favourites songs ever!
Oh, I said nothing.... Second look at the tracklist LOOKING BACK NOW = WHISKEY AND A GUN!!! I don't like that title change, but at least the song is there. I can go to bed happy now.

^ I LOVE the album cover. I could do without Brad skydiving, but I'm really digging the bottom half of the picture a lot. Looking forward to hearing what the songs sound like; there's some very interesting (verging on bizarre at times) titles here and a lot of collaborations (though he had about the same presence of guests on his last record as well).
