From #18: Here I Am To Worship
Well, MercyMe holds onto the top of the chart for a third week. And they don't really have much competition, either, with Third Day being their only challenger at the moment. They'll probably stay up there for quite awhile, which is something MercyMe seems to be very good at, as illustrated by their top song of last year, which, as we all know, spent a whopping 20 weeks on top.
And - I can't believe my eye - there's no older song re-entering the chart this week. I felt sure Nate Sallie or maybe even Bebo Norman would be back for one last week, but that was not to be. And Matthew West drops off of the chart with a song that had been on since the holidays, "More". Will he return next week for an "encore"? We'll have to wait and see.
Other than that, the chart seems rather quiet this week, though I don't know what happened with the new Jeff Deyo song. After soaring ten spots to debut on "20: The Countdown Magazine" last week, it actually falls two spots.
Well, due to the chart being quiet, as well as most of the long-time charters being gone from the chart, I don't have much of a commentary this week. Maybe the chart will move a little faster next week.
