From #20: Letters From War/Mark Schultz
Well, this chart is slightly more interesting than last week's snoozefest. I mean, the lower half is a little ho-hum, with a lot of songs moving down, but one point worth mentioning is the large drop of "Open Skies" by the David Crowder Band, which falls 7-13. Of course, now it'll probably hang around that spot for another month or so. Or it could fall out next week; we'll have to wait and see.
The Top Ten has several notable points. The big story, of course, is Bethany Dillon's debut at number ten She seems to have her way with high debuts. Four months ago, her song "Beautiful" came roaring onto the survey all the way up at number nine. It didn't go much further, however as I recall (I believe it peaked at seven). I have a feeling, though, since Ms. Dillon is a little better known, that this song might go a little higher.
Also, in the Top Ten, is the biggest jumper this week. After spending about a month at number ten, Steven Curtis Chapman finally breaks free and moves ahead four spots to number six with his latest release "All Things New". A future number one for Mr. Chapman? Could be.
And finally, Third Day moves a spot closer to #1 with their newest "I Believe". Could they overtake the #1 spot in the near future? Or will the "#2 Curse" befall them, as it did back in March, with their last hit "Sing A Song"? We'll see next week how they do.
