I think a finale slot would be better, and help with longevity somewhat. It's only three weeks after the release, but it might provide a nice boost after two weeks of declining sales from its release week. Just a thought. By then, hopefully, GG will have peaked and she can possibly perform "Blown Away". I think an Idol finale performance of "Blown Away" would be the perfect platform for the song.
BTW, I'm still bugging out over "One Way Ticket"! Every time I hear the clip I start dancing and a massive smile overtakes my face... I just get some seriously amazing vibes from the song. Really though, I'm looking forward to hearing the entire album.

Blown Away actually sounds very much how I imagined it. Very sultry in the beginning with those sharp, piercing vocals blowing us away on the main parts of the chorus. I immediately loved it. It's the EXACT type of music I love, with that kind of sultry voice, and then explosive chorus. Mmmmmm. Cannotttt waittttttt. I also loved One Way Ticket, Cupid's Got a Shotgun, Wine After Whiskey... and the album as a whole seems incredibly strong. I usually don't like Carries slower songs because they tend to be all mushy and gushy but we'll see.

Will be something so different from Carrie on the radio.

She should perform "Good Girl" the week of album release. It will definitely help her first week sales and maybe push the song back into the Top 10 on itunes. Then she could perform the 2nd single on the finale.

Carrie's fans, be ready to win ALBUM OF THE YEAR at the CMA, ACM, GRAMMY, AMA, etc I think Miranda has a lock on the 2012 CMA Album of the Year. Maybe Carrie does have a chance at the 2013 ACM's though.

Whoever said "Good Girl" was the least country song on the record, does that count "See You Again" and "Blown Away"? Those songs have nothing country about them. That said, Taylor Swift was able to achieve massive success at the format with a largely pop album because the quality was there. As long as the songs are good, Carrie will be fine, country or not.

The clip I'm stuck on right now is "Good In Goodbye." I love how plainspoken that one is. Really surprised Tedder had a hand in writing it, I was expecting something more like "See You Again" coming from him.

Blown away has a much more Country Theme than GG. Alcohol, Oklahoma the story as a whole is Country.

Random but apparently Carrie's listed as a performer of P!nk's "I Don't Believe You" over at HFA. Not sure what that's all about, but it's interesting.

Maybe Carrie does have a chance at the 2013 ACM's though. That's a while away, and there are many albums yet to be released to contend for a nomination. The CMA voters are notorious for having short memories when it comes to voting. In that I mean they look more closely at the latter half of the eligibility period and less so toward the beginning. Therefore, Carrie may be at an advantage releasing an album relatively later in the eligibility period. Especially if the critical acclaim is as high as it should be, the timing should be perfect for Carrie to be at least considered in the voter's minds.

Right now, I'm loving the "Do You Think About Me" clip the most. Can't wait to hear the full thing.

Are the song samples gone for anyone else? Looks like the only people with access to the clips are those who downloaded the Youtube and/or Soundcloud clips personally. I would help you out but I have no idea how to share downloads from my computer.

This should keep sales steady for ''Blown Away'' for a while after being released a few weeks prior. I'm quite happy with the lined up promo so far; promising start of the era. ''One Way Ticket'' has grown on me so much after listening to it a few times, and I think this could be a big hit for her on country radio, especially in summer. Same goes for ''Nobody Ever Told You'', I just can't get it out of my head. Those are some great songs unlike anything she's released so far.
