She ain't kidding when she says she gets nervous at Idol and the country shows. Bc she's so damn good elsewhere. lol

I just bought the album! I really enjoyed it, my favorites being: Blown Away, Two Black Cadillacs, Forever Changed, Good in Goodbye, and Wine After Whiskey. I'm very impressed.

Carrie literally killed. I don't think it's possible for her to perform BA better than that. Truly flawless, there was legitimately nothing to critique. Absolutely spectacular!

That was just breathtaking! I SO can't wait for the tour!
"Blown Away" will be her career song I believe and be a hit in Country, Top 40, and AC.
But wow that performance, just wow!

Wow that performance of "Blown Away" was perfect. It really put into perspective what a talent Carrie is when you throw her on an award show where most of the other artists have to lip sync and rely on dancing/production to put on a good performance. The vocals were spot on, as was the stage, her look, etc. It was perfect. One of my favorite performances from Carrie in a very long time.
Also, just finished watching her and Mike on Oprah's Next Chapter. It was an excellent hour-long segment that gives so much insight into who Carrie and Mike truly are. You can tell from watching it that they were meant to find each other.
Excellent night for Carrie Underwood on television. She deserves it.

That was AMAZING! Tbh, "Blown Away" wasn't one of my favorites on the album, but it has grown on me quite a bit within the past few days. That performance just put it over the top. It NEEDS to be a multi-format smash. Perfect performance. I actually think it might be one of her best live performances ever.

A+++ performance of 'Blown Away': best performance of the night ! The look, vocals, and stage dramatics were just perfect. I loved the look and vocals, but I found the theatrics to be a bit much. It all takes away from the vocal and song because people start looking at other stuff.

Carrie just absolutely blew it away. What an epic talent. If we are being honest she was too good to be performing at such a crap awards show.

It all takes away from the vocal and song because people start looking at other stuff. Just standing there and sing with a PLAIN stage will not work at all for Blown Away. In fact, it will be so boring. I'm not a fan of unnecessary bells and whistles, but imo, this DRAMATIC song needs some drama for the stage set-up. There's nothing wrong with some drama onstage, as long as it actually complements the song. IMO, this was done perfectly for this performance.

Carrie sounded absolutely perfect tonight on BA.
Also, Carrie and Mike's interview with Oprah was the MOST adorable thing ever. I love them together so much!

Yeah Carrie is doing now what Reba started in the 90s with her dramatic songs/performances. From one Country Queen to another, its just facinating. I love it!

I just caught the song on YouTube. I was a little disappointed in the Idol performance, so I was a little nervous about this one. The person who said that this performance was "x infinity better" pretty much hit the nail on the head. Her vocals were incredible (the sound mix was perfect. There was some assistance on the lower "There's not enough rain in Oklahoma..." parts since those are the most powerful lines in the song. She also just sounded stronger on those parts too. And, it was nice hearing her hit that high note instead of letting her background voice do it. The final falsetto was right on the money. No cracks in her voice. Just great!). She looked just as incredible as she sounded (some of her clothing choices I do not like. This red dress, however, was great and really made her stand out among the gray background). And, the production was also incredible (I'm not usually one for big production. I wasn't keen on Idol's production because it seemed to distract. The production here was flawless). The combination of these three made this a real knock-out performance.
Why couldn't Carrie have done this well on Idol? Oh well...I hope there were a lot of viewers (but from what I read, the award show was a real dud overall). Regardless, it's nice to already see the huge increase in the song's position on iTunes. I want Good Girl to get as high as possible, but I am anxious for Blown Away to be released and see how well it does. It's very "out there" for country radio, but as big as the song already is, the song needs to be next. As many others have said, this song is the best chance she has of having another big song like JTTW or BHC.

I still can't get over that performance, that vocal was immaculate. Dare I say better than the studio version?
She definitely stole the show.

Easily, the second-best Carrie performance I've seen in person, barely behind the Steven Tyler collaboration back in 2011.
And to see Carrie get a standing ovation really made my night. Such a diverse crop of artists in one room, and to see them all standing for Carrie was awesome to see. The audience wailed with applause after every time Carrie wailed, which made me chuckle every time.
There was nothing wrong with this performance. I'd like someone to point out a flaw, because I'd just laugh at them if they tried. She had the best performance of the night, hands-down, and iTunes is already showing the massive effect. The song is up to #60, GG is up to #25, and the album shot up to #3 again.

Carrie's performance was stellar. Amazing vocals and interesting production; however, I can now conclude that "Blown Away" is, by far, her least interesting single to watch performed to-date. Although a great song, I'm now extremely curious to see how it will do as a single.
The emotion isn't there, in comparison to the live performances of her softer ballads. The umph isn't there, in comparison to the live performance of her up-tempos. The song, to me, just isn't captivating live. Especially, since the song won't really connect personally with listeners or viewers.
She just sounds amazing, but that's pretty much a given.

The Oprah interview was incredible. It makes it quite obvious that Mike and Carrie are meant for each other. The ice hockey scene where he picks her up... 'Doubtful' Carrie would have begged to be put down, but she has so much trust in him that she thoroughly enjoyed it, and trusted him completely not to hurt her. The ending where Carrie sings "How Great Thou Art" with them was great as well, very moving... It makes me really wish that one day Carrie does a studio recording of the song.
Oprah really conducts the best interviews, and seems down-to-earth too, which is rare. You can tell she knows she's OPRAH, but still, she recognizes her southern roots which is nice to see. Overall, Sunday night was a great night!

I couldn't disagree with you more and I won't even begin to enumerate the reasons why because we're at completely opposite ends of the spectrum and will just have to agree to disagree. I will say though that each of Carrie's 2 performances of this song has made a significant impact on viewers. The Idol performance, though criticized as less than perfect, propelled "Blown Away" to #11 in all genres on iTunes. IIRC, no other former alum performing a song on Idol this season even came close to that. This BBMA performance has propelled "Blown Away" again to more than 62 spots on all-genre top songs (now #53). It's actually amazing to me that BA has already sold more than 100k without radio play and pre-release as a single. I would actually argue that BA's live performances are among the most impactful of ALL of Carrie's songs judging from immediate sales reaction right after each performance.

She really was flawless last night. I've been a little underwhelmed by a lot of her vocals this era, so I'm glad she stepped it up. Miles better than the Idol performance.
