Here in south Texas, the Carrie promotion has started at full blast. Radio station K99 has been giving away $1000 plus free passes to the CMA fest with Carrie meet and greet with Carrie personally giving a tour of her bus. One person just won and they're giving away another prize later today. GG has been playing alot more than normal. Dont know who's putting up the money, but someone is. Label?
Just to add: They're calling the promo, "Cash and Carrie". I know, I know, but it fits. lol

Do you know which store is going to have the best deal on this album when it comes out? I'm probably going to get it for my Mom for Mother's Day.

I'm excited to hear someone besides me feels this way, and I haven't even heard Carries's version of the song yet.

@nashvillebecca "One Way Ticket is definitely tropical. I said it felt like Carrie meets Zac Brown Band. Different for her but fun"
@theshaina Forever Changed = wedding song. So good! Makes me want to cry!
@nashvillebecca Thoughts on "Two Black Cadillacs" ?” 1st thought, WHOA. 2nd thought, dark, haunting & I must know what inspired it
@nashvillebecca would you be willing to concur that this is her best album yet?” I would say so. A definite evolution.
@imakehits2 Was able to listen to the Carrie Underwood CD, The Title Track slays me. It has a Wow factor.

I got an invite to the listening party next Saturday in Nashville! This works out awesome, because I can't attend the Fan Club Party this year.
Is Carrie going to be at this party? And I wonder if we'll get to meet her?

Mutt Lange wrote "Who Are You." ASCAP listing. HELL YES! I wonder if he produced the track? All of his work is amazing, and I can't wait to see if this sounds like a Shania-esque tune.

And I wonder if we'll get to meet her? I know I said this before, but why would they call people randomly without them knowing anything and 2). Why would it be in her studio if she's not gonna be there? There's no way she wouldn't be considering that it's in Nashville.

Thanks to rottiger from Carriefans: Based on tweets coming in about the album:
1. "Good Girl" - we already know 2. "Blown Away" - very dramatic and dark. About a storm or stormy relationship from the line "dry lightning cracks across the sky" 3. "Two Black Cadillacs" - deliciously dark 4. "See You Again" - someone touched her heart and is always there 5. "Do You Think About Me" - sweet and "Strawberry Wine"-esque 6. "Forever Changed" - wedding song 7. "Nobody Ever Told You" - sweet message 8. "One Way Ticket" - Islandy and Zac Brown Band-esque 9. "Thank God For Hometowns" - celebration of hometowns 10. "Good In Goodbye" - "Unanswered Prayers"-esque 11. "Leave Love Alone" - twangy and bluegrass 12. "Cupid's Got A Shotgun" - Softer "Gunpowder & Lead" and redneckish 13. "Wine After Whiskey" - never being satisfied with love after one strong relationship 14. "Who Are You" - "who are you? my everything"
Edit: More... Blown Away (The song)--- It is intense. I called it Independence Day meets the Eurythmics
Forever Changed--- If you're familiar w/ Tom Douglas' writing it is very much his style - story telling, paints a pic of the seasons of life.
Nobody Ever Told You--- was bouncy with a Paul Simon-ish vibe. Sweet message.
The whole album production--- VERY diverse. A wide spectrum of styles ...
And apparently Brad Paisley plays guitar on "Cupid's Got A Shotgun"!

New bio's up!“Blown Away” finds a daughter getting revenge on an abusive, alcoholic father
“Two Black Cadillacs” relates the story of a wife and mistress who conspire to get even with the man who betrayed them both.
As bad as it was / As bad as it hurt / I thank God I didn’t get what I thought I deserved. ~ "Good In Goodbye" Need this album in my life.

I'm a pretty big Carrie fan. I discovered her randomly, when I was reading a music blog back when she had just released Jesus, Take The Wheel. I like the three albums, and I've been following her career really closely since then. But this is the first time I've been REALLY EXCITED to get a Carrie album. All the tweets, all the industry comments, all the things Carrie has said, it just sounds epic and amazing. I'm glad she's finally branching out. When Play On was released, I felt as if she was starting to get a little bit stale, but she's proving me wrong and I'm loving it. Only three more weeks

Billboard Magazine scans, thanks to Kenny_Chrisholm: 1, 2, 3. The title track is a brooding, blustery anthem of abuse that culminates in a daughter leaving her alcoholic father passed out on the couch as she locks herself in the storm cellar. "Some people called it taking shelter," Underwood sings. "She called it sweet revenge."

Did you guys noticed Carrie's mummified right arm on the cover of the Billboard magazine?? She looks gorgeous, but that arm was a poor work of lighting...

Wow. I'm so intrigued with the description for Two Black Cadillacs. Didn't expect that story at all.

Can anyone copy & paste what this says? I hate those stupid surveys. And wow at that Blown Away description. That's.. powerful, to say the least. ETA: Fixed. Not much we don't already know, but a good read.
