Yeah. The public is quick to praise any performance from Xtina, regardless of its actual quality, which is something I've come to begrudgingly accept.
Personally, it's completely beyond me how someone could think she sounded amazing in her James Brown tribute, Etta James tribute, and national anthem rendition.
I'm not saying that she hasn't had good performances, I'm just saying that she's been riding off of a reputation her people set up in the beginning of her career to set her apart from Britney and her clones.

I think people are completely missing the point that it was important that the tribute be performed with raw, gritty emotion. The lyrics took on a whole new meaning. I mean, they could have had Celine Dion sing her rendition of "At Last" and she would have sung it beautifully but it would not have been the right fit for the occasion.

I mean, they could have had Celine Dion sing her rendition of "At Last" and she would have sung it beautifully but it would not have been the right fit for the occasion. I love Christina's voice when it's controlled, which basically only happens on her records. On this particular rendition, I wasn't moved by any "raw, gritty emotion". It made me cringe to hear her oversinging, combined with her botched, unhealthy sounding raspy runs and over excessive melisma. It fell flat in many places. Vocally, I thought it was a disaster. It started pretty good, and it was all down hill from there. The uh's, eh's, said's, yeah-yeah's, and all other ad-libs she does quite simply drive me insane. She's got so much potential and her lower register is quite simply phenomenal, but when is she ever going to tone it down? Sadly, when the media just gives her an A+ for her horrible performances, how could she possibly think anything is wrong? I'm not even going to talk about the double chin, her bloody legs, or her inappropriate attire.

It is WAYYY to easy to stoop below myself when I see some of the comments in here. Some of the criticism, because I know the posters and their general positive contribution to Pulse, as well as their objectivity, I can handle, even when disagreeing but the others...all I can say is some of y'all need to look into the stats and accolades of lesser female stars and get back to me with receipts. Never mind, those receipts don't even exist. Christina CAN oversing and has a tendency to do so but my favorite part about her is how much control she has over her voice. She can let herself go wild (so can Patti and Aretha and other soulful singers) but she knows when to rein it in as well and when she does, she is pretty much unparallelled, as far as pure voices go. I will also say that the girl NEVER bores me with her vocals. I always feel something. Angelic one minute and gritty the next. Her voice is elastic. She can do just about everything with it and she has a great range as well. I will continue to support her because, at least, she has yet to make a truly BAD album. How many others can say the same???

Even not at her best, I still think she sounds better than most pop chicks out there so I don't mind good reviews rewarding real vocal talent.
On another note, Christina's salary supposedly increased by more than double for The Voice this year-JUST her salary will amount to over 10 million just for this season and that is not including any related royalties dealing with endorsements or appearances. I am looking for more confirmation, but I knew they were negotiating for an increase and it is about what other top judges for top talent shows get paid.

Other than the whole rocker shirt, Christina is giving me Debut album vibes. So happy there is no red lipstick!

Did someone just say Christina has not made a bad album? Pffftt
The cover is weird cause Christina is snookie-sized and they had to kinda crouch to her level for her to reach their faces like that.

Whether or not she's made a bad album is purely an opinion. Feel free to leave yours on the way out.

The Voice Coaches to Perform Prince MedleyAlthough The Voice will premiere Sunday – right after the Super Bowl – it won't be until night two that the coaches Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine will perform a rocking Prince medley. The two-hour show will also feature more blind auditions as the coaches build their teams and prepare to go head-to-head in a full season of NBC's hit singing competition. Just don't expect to see a slew of bad singers. "We all told them we're not signing up for this show if it's about ridiculing someone or mocking talent," Aguilera told reporters this month. "This show is about artist development," added Green. Prepared to defend his winning title, Levine, who coached season 1 winner Javier Colon, says the level of talent this year "is pretty high, so you can be honest and say, 'This isn't your best,' rather than they suck."

Cee-Lo's outfit is amazzzzzing.
I don't love the cover. It is very awkward and sort of dull. Her face actually looks great though.

Fuck Your Body, or whatever it's called, is not going to be dropped unless she gets in serious shape.
So, once she starts losing weight, we'll know they're prepping the single for release.
