Since we're up to 100 pages on the other thread, it'll be locked soon... figured I may as well go ahead and start a new one.

MERCURY NASHVILLE duo SUGARLAND will launch their sixth consecutive headlining tour entitled “In the Hands Of The Fans” this APRIL. The tour will rely on fan interaction and requests to determine the set list played in each city. The tour kicks off in TOLEDO, OH on APRIL 5th. It will feature performances by SUGARLAND’s label maters LAUREN ALAINA and CANAAN SMITH in select cities. “This year's tour is based around the concept of putting the show into the hands of the fans,” said SUGARLAND’s JENNIFER NETTLES. “They will make the requests that will help form the set list and guide the show. Through texts, handwritten signs, the Internet (TWITTER, FACEBOOK, etc) phone calls made during the show and selections directly from the stage, the fans will become the conductors as well as the audience. If it's on one of our records or if we've played it on a stage it is fair game.” www.allaccess.com/net-news/archive/story/102967/sugarland-to-kick-off-in-the-hands-of-fans-tour-inYoutube from their site (I tried to embed but it won't allow me too.) youtu.be/fjrrZ5s8CEA

I am VERY excited for Lauren - she'll learn a lot from Jennifer and Kristian. I probably won't get to a show this year, but I'll look forward to hearing about it :) And I LOVE the concept for this tour - a lot of GREAT songs from these guys' catalog are going to see the light of day performance wise.

Heather's Wall is certainly one of my favorite Ty Herndon songs. The man had such great material, and it's a shame that the demons got to him. I can't think of a single Ty Herndon song I don't like.

I've always wanted to see Sugarland on tour (I've only seen them at CMA fest), and I absolutely love Lauren and Canaan's new single is one of my favorites out right now. Come near me and I'll be there!

^As of right now Lauren is confirmed for four dates: Toledo, Youngstown, Louisville and Pikesville. Her band seems to be saying she is getting the longer opening slot of the two on the tour and will be doing more shows.

Can I make a suggestion? How about starting a separate thread for "Random Video of the Day"?

Random Video of the Day Ty Herndon - "Heather's Wall"Good job on this one. This is the only one that has really grabbed my attention! Wish this would have done better on the charts...such a stellar song from one of the best voices. He is supposed to be recording a new album, so I'm totally stoked.

Kenny Chesney to release his new album June 19th:
In the wake of his critically acclaimed, platinum certified Hemingway’s Whiskey, which yielded the No.1 and gold certified “The Boys of Fall,” No.1 and platinum selling “Somewhere With You,” the platinum certified, CMA Award winning “You and Tequila,” the No.1 single “Live A Little,” and the current single “Reality,” which sits at No.2, singer-songwriter Kenny Chesney is set to release his new album on BNA Records on June 19. The album is, as of yet, untitled.

Random Video of the Day Kortney Kayle - "Don't Let Me Down"Oh nice, I always liked her and found it a shame Lyric Street couldn't get her a hit. She's been up here in Canada as a duo with her husband as The Wilsons. They haven't gotten any big hits yet but CMT seems to be supporting them at the very least. :)

glad to hear Julie Roberts has a new video out, gotta check it out later
I was wondering if anyone knew of a site that had an archive of past billboard or mediabase country charts? I'd really like to check out the 90's specifically but didn't know if it was possible or not, would prefer the full charts but at least top 40

Again, it's just a list of all songs that went #1. countrycharttalk.com/billboard-number-one-hits-1990-1999/

Heather's Wall is certainly one of my favorite Ty Herndon songs. The man had such great material, and it's a shame that the demons got to him. I can't think of a single Ty Herndon song I don't like. He had some addiction problems but he was 'blacklisted' for the other 'rumors' about his life. Sadly, stuff that still derails mainstream country artist careers. but hey, he has fans and STILL makes great music.

^Isn't that kind of the same thing though? He just said he wanted to see issues of the full charts. He might not have a specific reason why.

I wasn't sure exactly where to post this, because she doesn't technically have a current single and I didn't want to bump the "My Heart Can't Tell You No" thread since it's long done, but Sara Evans had some interesting remarks about its chart run in a recent Country Weekly issue:
"I think this album is full of singles. 'My Heart Can't Tell You No' has been a bit of a slower climb. I thought it would have gone up the charts a bit quicker, but I'm out there working for every spin I get. You just never know how long an album is going to last".
I always find it interesting to see how closely artists follow the charts, and are aware of that side of the business. I'm sure some really analyze them, but I've also heard some (Alan Jackson, for example) say that they never look at them.

I don't think you can post that.... Anyway, the full album has leaked. It's the european edition which includes a couple different duets partners (Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw are ommited), and a bonus track featuring Pixie Lott.
