Listen here. Going for adds on AC and Inspo. Hopefully this charts better than "With All My Soul". That song totally flopped, yet this song is so beautiful, so there's a greater chance of success.

If there's any justice in the world, this will do better than "With All My Soul." Did that one ever even make it onto a chart at all?
This is a much better single choice than "Soul," though it wouldn't surprise me at all if this goes nowhere as well.

Why did radio stop playing her songs? Is it because of "Chasing Papi"? That movie was fun and Jaci was playing a cute character.

I think they're being racist.
I think they don't like her "new sound" (although "Lay It Down" sounds very old-Jaci-esque).

Her record label sure isn't helping her out any. They've apparently fired all their radio promos and Word has basically done nothing to promote the album since they aren't happy with it. It seemed most stations were oblivious to the fact that Jaci had a new album coming out and "With All My Soul" was a single, even months after the song had gone for adds. That was the wrong song to usher in the Beauty Has Grace era anyway. "Lay It Down" is definitely more in line with what people are used to hearing from her.

Jaci did an amazing job at her concert last night! I think I might've enjoyed it more than her concert from October 2003. :o Plus, I got to meet her (for the first time) after the show. I have to leave her a comment on Myspace as soon as she adds me, because she said she does respond to comments. This song has hit me hard after I saw her do it live! :)

#1 Most Added at R&R Inspo. # 25 on R&R Inspo. How do you get the Inspo spots below #20?

New & Active shows play counts, so you can deduce a few spots below #20.

It's right outside of the Top 20 on R&R Inspo. Go Jaci! You can do it!

OMG! She did it! She really did it! She's #8 Most Added at PDA INSP and "Lay It Down" debuts into the Top 20 at #19 on the same chart!

Get it, Paty! I had "I'm Not Looking Down" stuck in my head when I woke up this morning. I don't know why.

Up to #18 this week on INSP (#6 Most Added). Also, Jaci references "Lay It Down" in her descriptions of her recent divorce. I feel very sympathetic towards her, but am wondering if this will fuel the success of "Lay It Down".

Poor girl. Like she hasn't had enough stuff to deal with the past few years. Jaci's post at her official site: TO ALL OF MY FANS: For many of you the revelation that my marriage has ended may come as a surprise. Though I have been going through this sad period in my life for some time now, it has been with the guidance of family, intense counseling, and the gracious mercy of God that I find myself rising to the surface.
I wish to bring awareness to the healing and grace that can come through believing that God can work through any circumstance and as believers we can prove to the world that when one of us is in need it is the church that becomes the hand that is there to lift us up.
In many ways it is through this situation that I have grown considerably and now view the world with more compassionate eyes. Knowledge comes through learning but it is wisdom that comes through experience. In this experience I find myself beginning a new chapter in my life. A song called Lay It Down came into my life as I was working on my last record and although the writers never knew what I was going through this song was like an answer to prayer. Lay It Down is a message of hope and surrender when all of your dreams are slipping through your hands. Messages like this are the reason I sing.
Although there is plenty of healing to be done, I feel like you are all part of my extended family and that why I am sharing this with you, I know I can count on your prayers, respect and support on this difficult times.
May God Bless you all.
Sincerely,
Jaci VelasquezI'm glad to hear "Lay It Down" made it into the Top 20.
