Jon's Future Favorite:
In The Middle Of Me/Todd Agnew
Well, this is quite an odd chart. I don't ever remember a song falling from 1 to 7 before! And I thought "Hide" by Joy Williams would rebound to number one, but, instead, it continues to fall, from 3 to 5. And, from what I hear, the song is still number one in CRW magazine, so they've apparently deviated from the magazine.
"Held" by Natalie Grant becomes the new number one song. But its time at number one could be short. I'm not sure how Jadon Lavik will do, since the song "Even If" is still stuck at number six. But coming up strong on the chart are the new songs by MercyMe and Michael W. Smith. They haven't even been on for a month and are already in the Top Ten. And, since both artists have been to number one many times, I have a feeling that the songs could follow suit. Also, "Brave" by Nichole Nordeman isn't exactly out of the running, as she moves from 8 to 3 this week. It could be a battle for the top spot in ensuing weeks.
BTW, thanks to aajunkie for posting the #20 song (along with the rest of the chart). I figured that maybe Todd Agnew would be at number 20, since that song has been bouncing around the lower reaches of the chart for nearly half a year. Everytime it looked like it would be leaving the chart, it moved back up. What was so weird about that was that it hasn't done anything on any other Christian AC charts. It must have been doing well on stations that report exclusively to CRW. Speaking of Todd Agnew, he has this week's Jon's Future Favorite pick, a song from his upcoming album (I forget the title). The song is called "In The Middle Of Me". According to Jon, it's not officially the first release, but it's a song that he liked, so he decided to play it.
Overflow finally let go of the number fourteen position. After holding there for over a month, they drop back to number fifteen. This is another one of those songs that has spent many weeks on the chart without going Top Ten.
