A simple congratulations to another artist for hitting #1 in airplay is not a big deal, IMO. The new chart wasn't mentioned - if people interpret it that way that's their issue. But it wasn't about Billboard... (BB weeks don't end until Monday morning) It was a simple congrats about her #1 on Mediabase (MB week end Sunday morning) so I'm not sure why they would delete that. That was exactly my point. I have no idea why they'd delete it, especially after Carrie acknowledged it and thanked them for the congrats.

Well they just tweeted it again... It was probably a "conflict of interest". Perhaps because of the events of this past week, people would look into it too much, and take it as an insult towards Billboard. Or, Perhaps people could look at it as some conspiracy that Scott was trying to cover up. I don't think the latter is true, but there are some crazy people who truly think Scott Borchetta had a hand in this (which is possible, but I highly doubt it). Then there's the entire deleting of the post, which makes things look more suspicious and shady, especially with Carrie having re-tweeted it, so there's no true "erasing" of the tweet. Again, considering the context of the past week, I think it was truly just a "conflict of interest" which people, as what's happening here, would look too far into.

Looks like Carrie is getting recognized by Taste Of Country and they are going by Mediabase based on this article. Congrats to Carrie!! tasteofcountry.com/carrie-underwood-blown-away-no-1/Carrie Underwood’s ‘Blown Away’ Hits No. 1Carrie Underwood has a big reason to celebrate this week. The singer has officially landed her 16th No. 1 single this week with her hit song ‘Blown Away.’ The tune is the second single release from her fourth studio album of the same name. Underwood just couldn’t wait to share the good news of reaching the top of the charts with her fans. “Just got the news that ‘Blown Away’ is #1!” she tweeted Sunday afternoon. “So happy! So many thanks to Country radio and my wonderful fans! It’s going to be a great day!” The writing team behind the smash is the same two writers who penned another one of Underwood’s career tunes, ‘Before He Cheats’ — Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear. The two recently spent time at the top of the charts with Luke Bryan‘s latest No. 1 hit, ‘Drunk on You,’ which the two wrote with Rodney Clawson. The ‘Good Girl’ hitmaker’s latest chart-topper is also the title of her latest tour, the Blown Away Tour, which is currently criss-crossing the United States. The trek, which will continue through the end of the year, also features up-and-coming sensation Hunter Hayes. Click here for a full list of dates where the tour will be stopping. Also here is the Band Perry Tweet for their congrats to Carrie. Proud of The Band Perry recognizing a well deserved lady. The Band Perry @thebandperry Congrats to the lovely @carrieunderwood for another #1 with 'Blown Away'!

www.theboot.com/2012/10/15/carrie-underwood-blown-away-single-charts/Carrie Underwood 'Blown Away' Single Tops the ChartsCarrie Underwood is queen of the country charts this week as her latest single, "Blown Away," moves into the top spot on both the Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck survey. The title track from her already-chart-topping album becomes the superstar's 13th No. 1 Billboard single, which includes her 2011 duet with Brad Paisley, "Remind Me." Carrie's move into the top spot on both charts means Jason Aldean's "Take a Little Ride" begins its descent from the No. 1 position. Dustin Lynch remains at No. 2 with "Cowboys and Angels" according to Mediabase, and he's at No. 3 with that hit on the Billboard countdown. Lee Brice is closing in on another No. 1 hit, with "Hard to Love" at Billboard's No. 2 spot. He's currently No. 4 on the Mediabase chart. The strongest mover within the Top 10 on both charts is Luke Bryan's "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye." Little Big Town continues to pick up speed with "Tornado," moving for 44 to 37 on the Mediabase chart and 41 to 32 on Billboard in just three weeks. Newcomer Florida Georgia Line ("Cruise"), meanwhile, inches closer to scoring their first Top 10 hit. Carrie Underwood, whose Blown Away album has topped charts in the US and Canada, and reached Australia's Top 5, continues the Blown Away tour. She'll be at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Oct. 16) and has two more shows in California this week. Keep track of her tour dates here.

Judging by the ad in tonight's Country Aircheck, her label is going to be pushing for far more than the two weeks at #1 which are guaranteed at this point.

Lee Brice is fairly close behind and getting large gains each day, so I doubt Carrie will get more than 2 weeks at #1.
That being said, 2 weeks at #1 is quite impressive in this age of "1 and done".
We'll see how high her Audience and spins can get this week...

I'm very happy that this song is #1. Deserves to have a long #1 run. I like it when songs got 3-6 weeks at #1.

A second week at #1 is questionable right now.
She is losing spins and AI today (-7 and -0.06). and Lee Brice is catching up really fast.
But as Cary said (CF.COM), Lee will be slowing down a bit tomorrow.
So second week at #1 is still a toss up.
BA deserves to be #1 at least 2 weeks.

I've thought all along she'll get 2 weeks at #1, and I think she can still do that. But 3 weeks looks highly doubtful. I definitely am not underestimating Carrie, but I think people were underestimating Lee Brice's "Hard To Love" and just how good it's been doing over the last several weeks.
Still, a 2-week showing at #1 is pretty solid.

Is there anything else below it that could threaten that possibility? I'd love to see Carrie get a multi-week #1 out of this song because she hasn't had one since 2008 with Just A Dream. Lee Brice. Maybe. I see where Lee Brice is 'only' 2.64 million behind Carrie Underwood. Will that be enough to limit her to one week or will he have to wait a week?

Two weeks are a mortal lock, at least insofar as the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart is concerned.
I don't know how much more airplay can be wrung out of 'Blown Away' at this point, but we won't have a firm idea on her prospects for a third week in the penthouse until early next week, possibly by Wednesday.
EDIT---This has now become the most-heavily played single of her career, reaching 47.05 SPSPW yesterday.
That's comfortably ahead of the 45.71 plateau for 'Cowboy Casanova', as well as the 43.64 peak for 'Jesus, Take The Wheel', which at that time (February of 2006) ranked #4 all-time, and remains tops overall for a debut single.

I give Carrie a 40% chance of maintaining her #1 position for a second week on Billboard Airplay. I don't go out more than one week because I don't trust the numbers that much, but if I had to estimate her chance at a third week at the top, I'd put it at no more than 2%, and realistically no shot at all.
The gap between Carrie and Lee was 2.65 mill on the Airplay chart this week. If Lee gains an average of 400k a day on MB, and Carrie falls a small amount, Lee will get there -- and you'd think that Lee's team would be able to see how close they are, and make an extra push over the weekend.

Some extra icing on the cake for today's Carrie fans: she now has her own SongPop playlist as the first of many based on artists' entire discographies. I bought the playlist just as I saw it announced! Enjoy it, y'all! ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0270.gif)

So now this is #1, do we have any leads on what the next single will be?

I have a strong gut feeling that "Do You Think About Me" will be next (one of my faves), but I think an official announcement will come either at the end of this month or after the CMAs. I'm sure BA will get another week at the top before Lee takes over.

I'm siding with TBC because it seems to be more of a ominous song, fitting Winter quite well. I feel like DYTAM would make a better Spring single. But we'll see!

I thought a 2nd week was a lock? I do think she'll manage to get it. Also, add me to the list of people who really hope DYTAM is the next single. I feel like it suits this time of the year even better, because it gives me some "it's snowing vibe", and I'm thinking about you drinking hot chocolate. Ahh, it just gives me such a good feeling.
Also: I really hopes she performs it at the CMA's. I mean, I love Blown Away but I'm so tired of it. It's like she has performed it more than even Good Girl.

It is a lock on Mediabase, Billboard is up in the air. It all depends on how slow Carrie loses spins/AIs, and how fast Lee gains. So far he isn't gaining massively and Carrie is losing AIs somewhat slowly, only ~300k in the past 3 days. I think the odds at this point are still on Carrie's side, but it all depends on how this weekend goes.

If there are a couple more days with a 650k swing, then he'll get to #1 on BB Airplay. If his gains diminish over the weekend, she'll get her second week, but I don't think today's numbers suggest that the odds are on her side. I agree that she should get week 2 on MB. The extra day is what would cost her on Billboard.

I would expect an annoucement on her next single within the next two weeks, perhaps in an upcoming issue of Country Aircheck's Music Edition, or BCU.

I hope "Do You Think About Me" is next, "Two Black Cadillacs" 4th, "One Way Ticket" 5th, and then for 6th single there is a dual release with "Wine After Whiskey" being sent to country and "Good in Goodbye" being sent to pop. Although that last part is just wishful thinking, as I doubt we will get 6 singles. We may not even get 5...

Carrie also remains #1 on the Billboard Real-Time tracker. #1 on Mediabase is a lock, and Billboard went from 'up in the air', to at least a good chance for a second week at #1. Lee would have to make considerably serious ground (as he didn't today) to catch Carrie in time on Billboard. It'll be close, but right now Carrie's chances for week #2 are looking pretty good.
