So surprised that the Afters have already dropped from the chart, seeing that the song receives moderate airplay at the Christian AC stations that I listen to.
Mark Schultz continues to hang onto the chart with "He Will Carry Me", two months after it was moved to recurrent on the R&R Christian AC Chart. At least it broke away from the #12-13 range.
MercyMe managed to hit number one with their current hit. It most likely won't be the number one song of 2005, since it came out too late in the year to accumulate a lot of points. Jeremy Camp, and others, will probably outdo them, even if they stay at number one for the remainder of the year. Will they tie their 21-week run of "Word Of God Speak"? We'll have to wait and see.

I don't think In the Blink of an Eye is going to be on top for long. Lifesong is already in the top 3 on R&R.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Some guy I was chatting with last night said that MercyMe's worship songs tend to be the ones that are more popular.
I expect "Lifesong" will probably be number one by September, given the track record of Casting Crowns and the fact that this is the first song from their new album.

I don't think In the Blink of an Eye is going to be on top for long. Lifesong is already in the top 3 on R&R. But Lifesong is also about 150-200 spins below MercyMe on the Mediabase updates. It could take 2-3 weeks to reach the top.
