Wow, I missed an interesting countdown this week. The two oldest songs fall off the same week (didn't I predict that could happen a few weeks back?) and the oldest song in the survey, "Nothing Without You" by Bebo Norman looks like it could be next, as it also takes the biggest drop on the countdown, from 7 to 19.
Also moving twelve spots, but in the other direction, is what looks like a future number one song, the new one by Casting Crowns, a group who came close to having their first three songs hit number one; unfortunately, the first song was one of many songs held out of the top spot by "Word Of God Speak" by MercyMe (although it might have been the Newsboys song that kept it from going to number one - I forget, since I wasn't listening to the show around that time - I stopped as soon as MercyMe fell from #1) Anyway, unless it pulls a "Leaving 99", Casting Crowns will probably have a number one song in a few weeks. Looks like MercyMe probably won't have the top song of this year. At this point, Jeremy Camp looks to have that honor with "Take You Back".
Speaking of Jeremy Camp, he may have ended his 80-week streak on the charts, but his streak of having a hit mentioned on 20: The Countdown Magazine (except for the weeks where it was a special) continues as his song "This Man" is this week's Jon's Future Favorite. Could it possibly debut next week? Truthfully, I have my doubts about that, since it's very rare for a song to hit the countdown the week after it's a Future Favorite. But you never know. The 20: Countdown chart is very unpredictable!
