I really like this song. Actually, this was the song that prompted me to buy the album back in October. It's definitely different from "Nothing Left To Lose," but in a good way.

I thought it was an alright song. I got his CD last year and unfortunately, most of the songs on there has him rapping in some way. As a result, a lot of them sound the same to me.

Already top 30, and I think a top 10 hit.

I can't believe they're still working this song. It went for adds originally last summer or something at Triple A so it seems so old to me now. That and I wasn't too fond of it the first time but I guess they were still working 'Nothing Left To Lose' the single anyway. He's not doing as well as his hot AC/triple A counterparts Howie Day, Gavn DeGraw or Anna Nalick tho, eh?

So if Mat does the same...

Yeah, I quickly went thru his album today and literally all of the songs other than 'Nothing Left To Lose' and like 2 others have rapping but it's pretty much the exact same style as he does in this song. I can't see him even getting another single.

My favorites from his album were All I Need, Nothing Left to Lose, Where We Gonna Go From Here, Crashing Down, and Won't Back Down, and none of those have the rapping lol. It's not that he's bad at it, but it just doesn't fit the kind of music he does at all. I think all the rest sound much better.

Agreed. I just find all of his rapping in the songs are the same. It would be great if he kept it to one, or even two songs but he raps in most of the tracks and they're interchangable.

Seems like this song could do much better on Top 40 than "Nothing Left To Lose" - maybe even better on Top 40 than on Hot AC, where the "rapping" might hurt it on some more conservative Hot AC stations

^ I think the rapping is why my Hot AC station hasn't added this yet. But they do play "Don't Matter".

If this charts on Pop, will this be the first "rap" song to cross from Hot AC to Pop?
And if it doesn't do that well on Pop, will it be the first rap song to peak higher on Hot AC than Pop?
(I don't consider any of Jason Mraz's songs rap.)
Pretty groundbreaking song for Hot AC if this is the case.

Yeah, I LOVE Jason Mraz, but "Curbside Profit" (which I think peaked at #23 here) was more clowning around than it was rap. Mat had a deeper voice and actually sounds like a rapper when he raps. And I think all those would be firsts.

I think the rapping sounds like LFO "Summer Girls"

Does anyone know if/when this is going for adds at Top 40? I just moved to Atlanta, and there's no Hot AC station (instead TWO Top 40 stations that BOTH lean Hot AC - looks like I'll have to wait longer to hear Hot AC hits on the radio - Q100 (Top 40 station) is just now spinning "Little Wonders" by Rob Thomas 75x a week)

Apparrently it went for adds about a month ago, though I am still unsure. It's currently #2 on my personal chart.

It's #4 on mine - I really hope Top 40 radio starts picking it up - I know they took almost half a year to start playing "Nothing Left To Lose" on Top 40
