This could without a doubt go down as one of the best, if not the best AT20 show that I can think of in the last several years. Here are the many highlights:
Matchbox Twenty has the biggest mover of the last 18 months with How Far We've Coming moving from 18-11.
Three debuts and a reentry. Debuts include What I've Done, Dig, and Thnks Fr Th Mmrs. Face Down reenters.
4 droppers also freshen things up as we say goodbye to Undeniable, It's Not Over, Little Wonders, and Before He Cheats.
In addition to the great chart action, we also have some absolutely fabulous extras and flashbacks. You can't go wrong with Save a Prayer, Simply Irresistable, Absolutely (Story of a Girl), Never Surrender, Roll To Me, Papa Don't Preach, and Hanginaround.
To tie in with the 30th anniversary of the passing of Elvis, Casey delivers a great tribute in Hour 1 with quotes from some of the biggest names in music talking about how the various influences from Elvis impact music now more than ever.
And, perhaps the most unique aspect of this weekends show, a homemade Long Distance Dedication. Rather than Casey reading a story and playing a song, Casey plays a song that a listener wrote, recorded, and sent into the show. And another interesting thing is that he also teases that it is only one of several different special features to come as AT20 celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Long Distance Dedication.
Kid Pulse had said in the post from the August 4/5 show that this weekends show would be "one for the ages". It definately is!!
