DeLuca Keeps Rockin' It was exciting to watch the Rocco DeLuca & The Burden project slowly but surely build a successful airplay story at triple A radio last year.
Perseverance on the part of the record label; the promotion, press and marketing people involved; and, of course, the band proved that triple A recognizes a real talent when it hears it and will support that artist given the right reasons. When it was all said and done, the first single, "Colorful," was a top-10 track at the format.
Now the good folks at Ironworks are regrouping for a second song: "Swing Low," which is one of the band's most popular songs live.
A cool documentary film about DeLuca and the folks at Ironworks -- directed by Manu Boyer -- aired on VH1 recently. DeLuca has also been selected as part of the network's You Oughta Know campaign. Deluca & The Burden are currently touring, with dates booked through the end of April.
