I hope this goes #1 as well! It's much better than Misery.

I think this will end up making #1. It's a lot different than most of the other Hot AC hits, which I think works in its favor. You can't mistake it for being a Train, Lifehouse, or Daughtry song. Yet it's still perfect for the format.

A couple of the songs, including GALM, did make me think of a Michael Jackson or Prince feel.

Love this song - I haven't heard it on the radio yet but I imagine it'll sound great.

This is the speed the song should be climbing at CHR! At least HAC knows a great pop song when it comes. :)

I really am not feeling this one, surprised "Never Leaving This Bed" wasn't released.

Maroon 5 has some good songs, but IMO this isn't one of them - don't know how much longer they can keep putting out songs that sound like Stayin' Alive

I"m really impatient for either chr to spin this or for them to get on with it to the next single.

^CHR already has spun it, but it only peaked around #36 I think, and it's got a pretty big negative bullet now

I"m really impatient for either chr to spin this or for them to get on with it to the next single. it's done on chr and still rising on hot ac, should have np being a top 5 smash at hot ac so i'd go on to single #3 at chr and then use that at hot ac as well. "Hands All Over", "Stutter" & "How" are hit songs whether released or not, so release them so they can be lol.... If i we're in charge of promo 4 the lables who promote singles to radio for all pop rock bands, i'd boycott chr and send tehm only to hot ac, thibnk that would benefit hot ac more!

Didn't this happen to Maroon 5 with their last album? First single saw moderate success, and then nothing else caught on afterwards? Weird.

If you're talking about CHR, the first single (Makes Me Wonder) had huge success and the second one (Wake Up Call) had moderate success - after that nothing else really caught on On Hot AC, they had three Top 5 hits (MMW, WUC, and Won't Go Home Without You) BTW my Hot AC is the ONLY station in the country not playing Give A Little More

11 11 MAROON 5 Give A Little More 2387 2494 -107 9.032
Yikes. Is this their worst performing Hot AC single ever? I just looked it up and it looks like "Harder to Breathe" is the only one that peaked lower. Even "If I Never See Your Face Again" hit #10.
Wondering if there's any chance of a turn around....

Bring on single #3 to save Maroon 5 on both formats! (and release "Hands All Over" to alternative as an experiment ;) )

It's #9 or #10 on Billboard. Maybe that's what you seen.

Ouch, that smarts!
11 13 17 MAROON 5 Give A Little More A&M/Octone/Interscope 2010 1480 2205 -725 84 15.9 23.7 -7.8
Just several years ago I strongly thought Maroon 5 would emerge to be a powerful staple at this format to reckon with, in that they embodied both some of the matchbox twenty popular rock appeal with some of the rhythmic appeal that is increasingly permeating this format.
I'm not sure now.
I think, with the way CHR/Rhythmic is leaning increasingly towards electropop presently, that it leaves Maroon 5's sound appearing a bit dated. It's not to say Maroon 5 can't rebound with their fourth album era (Levine has indicated, however, that he does not desire to see the band go on well into the future) but I think they'll have no choice but to update their sound to do so.

i wouldn't say by any means maroon 5 aren't core at hot ac, they had a #1 hit with "misery", "give a little more" went to #10-11 who cares, some of the classics we listen to today weren't even top 10's, off top of my head "melt with you" modern english and tom petty's "refugee" which peaked at #11 for 1 week in 1980. no song had long chart runs back then, put out the singles peeps will buy,4get all the stats lol.
but back to point of core: on my hot ac station these are in rotation:
"harder to breathe" "this love" "she will be loved" "sunday morning" "makes me wonder" "wake up call" "won't go home without you" "misery" "give a little more" just added "never gonna leave this bed"
if 1 song underperforming ruined careers even Elvis wouldn't have made it lol
