There is a new recurrent rule for Mediabase which applies to the CHR, HAC, and Alt charts. Songs which have been on the chart for over 20 weeks, that have hit the Top 10 and fall below #10, are removed. Songs that have been on the chart for over 20 weeks that do not hit the Top 10 but start to lose spins will be removed after two consecutive weeks of spin lose. I think purges work the same as they always have, though.

I've been searching for a public place that shows the updated Mediabase recurrent rules, but haven't been able to find them. AllAccess is good about getting the news out about big Mediabase-related rule changes, though. Here is the article about the most recent recurrent rule revision.

^^ Thanks. I literally just found that article! :) I should log in to All Access more often. I guess I'll have to change my format a bit.

So if I'm understanding this right, Bruno Mars is the only song currently in the Top 50 that will go recurrent when the published chart is released tomorrow night (his song is at #11 on chart right now)? None of the other songs below #10 with negative bullets will go recurrent?

Wow have the charts changed. Thanks for putting that up. I'd be curious to see the CHR chart from that same time to compare.

Did "Keep Your Head Up" really not hit top 10 here? Do you happen to know where it peaked?
