ZZZZZ at the top half of the chart as only 2 songs move in the top 14. Pink makes it to a full year with "Perfect" so she will be retired next week.
Rihanna moves 22-19 this week with "We Found Love." It marks her 2nd trip to the top 20. Her only other top 20 appearance was "Only Girl in the World" which peaked at #17 last May.
Also making the top 20 this week is Kelly Clarkson with her current #1 "Stronger." This marks Kelly's 12th top 20 hit, including her last 9 in a row beginning with "Behind These Hazel Eyes." Her only 2 top 20 misses ironically are 2 of her biggest hits, "Miss Independent" (#28) and "Since U Been Gone." (#22)
The highest debut comes from a singer/songwriter who has yet to have a single make a Billboard chart, but he's actually been in the business for over 20 years. Meet 38-year old Ed Hale from New York. He released his debut album in 1990 at the age of 17, and has worked solo and with his band Transcendence. Ed this week marks his first chart appearance as his song "Scene in San Francisco" enters this week at #28.
Debuting at #29 this week is one of the 3 who finished ahead of Chris Daughtry in Season 5 of Idol. Elliott makes his return to AC with the first single off his upcoming album "Let's Get To What's Real" dropping March 27th. "3 Words" is Elliott's 4th AC hit. He last charted for a lone week in October 2009 with "Can't Keep On Loving You."
Margo Rey goes recurrent this week resulting in a new peak for Whitney Wolanin and keeps Gloria hanging on another week. Come on Delilah, give this one a spin!!! Next week Pink, and possibly The Script, get the heave ho.
