I hope not. This country does not need to empower fat people any more than they already do!

Let's just hope that it is not a On the floor where it started off that there would be hit singles to follow but ended up just being the only hit.
I think leftovers from 21 and TTT, Nicki, Kesha, Madonna, and Mariah might be the big players of 2012.

Everyone who has heard it says it is amazing especially compared to NMT. I am dying at all the little tidbits so far. I hope they release it first week of January so it can have a little start before the Superbowl. Or maybe that isn't a good idea?

I actually think it's gonna be an empowerment anthem I see it right now: It will empower people to sell their bodies without any shame and take off all their clothes for no damn reason even if your body isn't attractive enough, but you show it to get that cheese burger, welfare food, late night sumthin' sumthin'. This will smash harder than Adele has in all of 2011.

I can see this leaking soon if people already have it.

Yeah I am expecting a leak fairly soon. At least one radio station already has it and a real clip exists somewhere.

This is OFFICIALLY added to Sony's Catalog..
- The CD single for "Love Your Body" has three tracks so that means there are two versions. Probably an explicit version, and an instrumental included.
- There's no sell sheet for Christina in the catalog, just the order # for the single.

Since it's confirmed by Sony, can we move this thread back?

Up for this!
People's feelings on Christina seem to be so dramatic (Loathing or adoration). I like her when she's good, and don't when she's not. Let's hope this is the former.

Since it's confirmed by Sony, can we move this thread back? There isn't a release date yet. I think a lot of us assumed it would be very soon as in the next week or so, but that isn't confirmed and it could be pushed back or even canceled at this point for all we know officially.

If the dirty version is called "F*** Your Body," there's no way I could see this as an empowerment anthem. Xtina has milked the overtly sexual image for years, and I don't see that changing. But, unlike most, I don't think Christina's image is as one-sided as some others make it out to be. She's always been sexual, but I think she's aims to empower women, and she does it well, in most cases.
She's comfortable with her body & I think her confidence translates to empowering women. In a time when most celebrities are stick-thin and talking about how their proud of their bodies after they have lost a bunch of weight, I think it's refreshing to see a woman who has always talked about loving yourself and being comfortable with who you are, instead of trying to build a completely different image once she got a little bit older and gained weight. I'm tired of hearing about celebrities saying they love their curves and then turning around and losing 20 pounds to become a size 2.
If it's OK for the men to sing about sex and hot women, it should be acceptable for women to turn the tables if they so chose. I don't see what the big deal is if Christina wants to sing about her sexuality just because she's a little overweight; just because her body has changed doesn't mean she shouldn't be able to express her confidence. Most artists tout the same image for years, and Xtina is no different; if we allow Gaga, Ke$ha, Katy, and Taylor to get away with the same types of songs, why should Xtina have to shy away from her image?
She has plenty of songs that aren't about sex and partying, and I'd say she sings about body-image issues better than most artists half her age. It's not like she's singing about getting drunk, name-dropping, dropping obscenites, etc. She's not Katy Perry or Gaga, and she's not pretending to be; she talked about the concept for "Bionic" before anyone even knew who Lady Gaga was. I think people need to lay off her a little bit. People (and the media), criticize her for every little thing, yet they turn around and bash celebrities for being "too skinny" and what-not; if we want to encourage girls and young women to be happy with who they are, the last thing we need to hear about is some celebrity who completely changed their image for a "comback" to sell a few albums.

Has it actually been confirmed the explicit version is called "Fuck Your Body" though? If this is in the vein of "Moves Like Jagger" with "Firework"/"We R Who We R"/"Raise Your Glass"/"Perfect"/etc lyrics it's a smash and unless the info on it being called "Fuck Your Body" comes from a reliable source I think it's much more likely to be that than a sexual song.

An anthem to touching one's self that is...

This is supposedly a snippet of the official instrumental:
Take this with a grain of salt, although I wouldn't mind if this is indeed the instrumental for the song.

I don't even remember an instance where a supposed instrumental clip leaked and ended up being the actual instrumental.

Even if that's not L/FYB's real instrumental, there MUST be a song using that. It's awesome! :o

I realize the odds of that instrumental being the correct one is slim to none, but nonetheless I kind of like it. With that said though? I feel slightly grimy for admitting this.

I just hope this is upbeat and fun! Not a huge fan of Xtina but if she releases something good, I'll be all over it! :) Hopin' for the best.

There are definitely worse tracks on Bionic than NMT and WooHoo. Yeah. Vanity . Vanity >> Not Myself Tonight. Even for the humor alone.

I hope not. This country does not need to empower fat people any more than they already do! Are you even serious with that comment.. All I have to say is SAD. Whats sad is killing yourself by overeating and/or eating terrible food. What's even worse is the people around you watching you slowly kill yourself and doing nothing to help you. By telling people its okay to be fat, you're encouraging people to be unhealthy and send themselves to an early grave. Who cares about whether or not someone has kids and those kids don't get to have their mother or father at their graduation, wedding, birth of their first child, etc? They're fat, and we should accept it? Bullshit. We don't let people sit by and drink themselves to death or use drugs. Its the same damn thing. it has nothing to do with how they look, it has everything to do with health. I want my boyfriend to be around a while. He comes from a family of people who are morbidly obese because they didn't care enough to eat healthy. I don't want to just let him eat whatever and have him die 30+ years before I do. Most of his family members did die because of heart related illnesses due to obesity. Your kind of attitude towards thinking its "okay" to be fat is what is "SAD" my friend. if you're overweight, I'm sorry, but its the truth. You want to kill yourself early? Not my problem, its yours. I'm not here to give you sympathy for living an unhealthy life.

Read on Twitter that this is being performed on NYRE tonight...they said it was confirmed, but I haven't seen an official source, so take that with a grain of salt. Unconfirmed.

I think what's sick is that our country has millions of people telling you it's not okay to be fat and to have the "perfect body," driving dozens of eating disorders and millions of people criticizing those that actually tell you to love yourself, driving people to misinterpret that as saying "be happy with your obese body."
There's no wonder everyone is fat or scary skinny in this country when you have those two mindsets driving the media.

Not fat, not stick thin, healthy. Anyways, we're getting off topic here.
