Does anybody know why Faith Hill is not on the Warner Brother page anymore? Is she going to a new record label?

I could also see Mallory signing something with UMG, Warner, or Sony and being an artist on both the country imprints and the Christian imprints (Capital CMG, Word, Provident). Mallary was previously signed to UMG Nashville (MCA) so I doubt they would have re-signed her. Then again, that was 5 years ago, before Mike Dungan took over the label, so they've obviously gone through a lot of changes since Mallary's departure. I'm betting it's a smaller label, though. Does anybody know why Faith Hill is not on the Warner Brother page anymore? Is she going to a new record label? Faith quietly parted ways with Warner Nashville last year, back in May/June. She signed with management company Sandbox Entertainment back in September. Other than that, there really hasn't been much news on the Faith Hill front, so it's pretty much impossible to know if a new label deal or any new music is on the horizon.

How do you know Faith parted ways with Warner Nashville? And was there a specific reason...? That seems so odd to me because didn't she owe them one more album?

How do you know Faith parted ways with Warner Nashville? And was there a specific reason...? That seems so odd to me because didn't she owe them one more album? Because she's no longer listed as a current artist on the Warner Nashville website, and in my experience, when a label removes an artist, that means that the artist is no longer there. I suppose it's possible that she could come back (or even still be there in some capacity), but at the very least, I think her removal from the WMN website means that they currently don't have any plans to move forward with her. I don't know what the reason was...I don't believe we ever saw any interviews or articles that explained why (but that's often the case when artists leave labels). But one day last June she was still on the website, and then the next day she wasn't, and she hasn't been since. I also don't know whether she owed them one more album or not, but even if she did, if both she and the label agreed to part ways, that would effectively mutually end their contract together.

Curb Records has signed singer-songwriter Jackson Michelson to its roster: I do not get Curb. They sign artists but yet fail to promote the ones they already have. Dylan Scott has been signed to the label for nearly seven years and they just now released an acoustic EP. The only artist that really ever gets any exposure is Lee Brice.

Taylor is a Pop artist now and she is still on Big Machine. So maybe Jessie James will be on a Pop label and do both.

Jessie would still need a Country based promotion team to work her songs to Country radio and if she signed with a Pop label, then that's something that would have to get worked out. It's still very early to know what exactly will happen.

Wonder why Mallary Hope hasn't announced which label she's with yet. Maybe this week? Glad to see Jessie James Decker was picked up by another label. The women of Country movement is definitely in full-swing now! I hope to see some other female singers from the early to late 2000's picked up by labels (Danielle Peck, Jessica Andrews, and many others).

That's too bad for Jerrod, but I'm glad we have an official source for this info now. His picture is still on the Sony Nashville website but I expect they'll take it down sooner rather than later.

I'm not surprised they dropped him. He never should've recorded an album like High Noon. That album was a failure in my opinion, not because of sales, but because of song quality. The label probably also pushed him to record stuff like that.

At least the High Noon album got him another #1 hit, so it wasn't all bad (the song sucked imo, but "Drink to That All Night" connected even if it didn't persuade people to buy the album or support the follow-up singles). The guy is just all over the place musically and, for me at least, he just isn't that good.

Big Machine and Seth Alley have parted ways; he's no longer listed on their website. I have a hunch that he was indeed the artist Scott Borchetta was talking about when he was interviewed by Hits Daily Double back in July. We discussed it at length, starting on page 25 of this thread.

Maybe Wheelhouse can sign him. They might be needing some more new artists.

Looks like Steven Lee Olsen has been dropped from Sony That wouldn't surprise me. They've gotten rid of nearly every Gary Overton signed artist.

Yeah there's not many left from Gary's time at the label. Cam, Logan Mize, Chase Rice, Tyler Farr, Dee Jay Silver, and Old Dominion. Cam, Tyler, Chase, and Old Dominion are safe for now. It'll be interesting if Logan and Silver stay much longer.
