Too bad we can't zoom in on that contract, lol. I see a label logo in the right hand corner.

^ lol, I thought about that too. Also, there's a frame on the wall, probably with artists. If we only knew who's on the photo...

Wow, that is awesome news! Mallary Hope barely getting anything of a chance at country radio and then "disappearing" for years was always a big mystery and injustice to me. I'm glad to see that she is finally getting that second chance that she deserves, because the girl is phenomenally talented, and I say that mainly just based on two great singles. Really looking forward to seeing where she landed and what she brings us in 2016!

They were "Georgia Peaches" and "The Locket", which she wrote by herself. She's also appeared on two of Darius Rucker's albums. On True Believers, she was incuded in a duet called "I Will Love You Still", and on Southern Style, she sings with him on "Baby I'm Right". Glad she was still active during those years leading up to her signing with a new label. I'm thinking maybe the new Nashville label, Silverado Records decided to sign her. She definitely is a wonderful singer and I hope she succeeds in 2016.

She's also had cuts by Jana Kramer and Danielle Bradbery. And if I'm not mistaken, a song in the first season of the Nashville series too. But my favorite cut of hers might be "Don't You Just Hate Those People" by that atrociuous Jennette McCurdy girl. Guilty pleasure.

Thanks for informing me. Now I've got to listen to those songs. Do you know which song she had cut by Nashville? That's a really good song. I actually liked Jennette McCurdy's short-lived Country songs.

The song is called "I'm a Girl". I remember Mallary posting about it at the time and I just checked. Nice song, although Juliette Barnes kind of hated it on the show lol
And I looove Whitney Duncan! "Since" is one of my favorite songs EVER. Her band is getting some buzz, I'm really curious about it. Even Lance Bass posted about them, weird but good exposure, right?
EDIT: Oh, and I kinda enjoyed some of Jennette's songs too, but once I saw her talking trash about country music and I thought that was annoying.

I'm super pumped about Post Monroe! I hope they get a record deal soon. Yeah. I think that was a radio interview she did with someone online (idk his name), but I think it was after her scandalous photos came out.

Does anyone know what happened to Katrina Elam? It seems she kind of disappeared from the music scene after Pure Country 2: The Gift. I really hope she gets signed again because man she can sing!

She still writes and gets some occasional cuts here and there, but she's not pursuing a singer career anymore. Too bad, because she's one of my favorites, like top 3. I really hope she changes her mind one day, go indie, self release stuff, anything.

The future for Gloriana is very unclear. As avalyn posted in the News & Non-Singles thread, Rachel Reinert has left the trio and will be pursuing a solo career. We'll have to wait and see if the Gossin brothers continue to record music under the Gloriana name, or if the band dissolves completely. I think it's pretty likely that they're no longer with Warner Bros, though. Last I checked they were still on the website, but they were conspicuously absent in the "happy holidays" ad from the WAR promo team last month (they were the only WAR artist not named in the ad).

They were still with the label. Just not part of a promo team at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them try to be The Gossin Bros instead of Gloriana (they'd likely have to find a female singer for Gloriana to make sense as a band name). Rachel had the best songs on the last album so I suspect this is a smart move on her part. She'll get picked up somewhere, if not Emblem/Warner Bros.

If Gloriana sold so horribly and couldn't get traction at radio, I don't see how The Gossin brothers could. This is a really unique situation. The Gossin Brothers were Gloriana, since they were a key in helping write their songs, but Rachel gave the band that distinctive sound. I don't see Rachel having wild success herself, to be totally honest. I know Matt Serletic will always be behind the members of this band with Emblem but perhaps Rachel can find a solo deal with Warner and John Esposito. If that's the case then I don't see room for The Gossin Brothers in any capacity on the label going forward.

BMLG artist Tucker Beathard has been shifted from the Dot imprint to the Big Machine imprint, according to the BMLG website. I wonder who is gonna be placed on Dot now. Probably nobody. The reason they moved Tucker is probably because the Dot promo team isn't as experienced yet as Big Machine, Valory, and Republic...and Dot is currently working singles by Maddie & Tae and Drake White, and by the end of the month they'll be working ZBB's "Beautiful Drug" (ZBB is shifting to Dot on February 1) and the new Steven Tyler single as well. And that's not even mentioning any plans they'll have with Ashley Campbell going forward. So that's 5 artists that they're gonna be busy with in just a few short weeks. Big Machine on the other hand only has singles from Rascal Flatts and Jennifer Nettles right now, and of course Tim McGraw's new one will be released soon. So they'll be able to give Tucker's single more attention than Dot would. Big Machine also has Danielle Bradbery, The Cadillac Three, Seth Alley, and Lauren Jenkins. I expect Danielle to get a single sometime in the not-so-distant future, but I have no idea when we can expect new music from TC3, and I'm not sure when we'll get the debut singles from Seth and Lauren, either.

I've been wondering that too. Seth has some great music. I'm not sure why he hasn't released a debut single yet. I don't really know that much about Lauren Jenkins but I think her voice is kind of bluesy.

This is wonderful news! I've been following her on soundcloud and I absolutely loved "One Rose". Hopefully this time country radio will give her a chance :)

I saw Mallary a few times in concert, she's very talented and has a lot of charm. I noticed on her Facebook, she referred to her new deal as "Christian and country" music fwiw.

I could also see Mallory signing something with UMG, Warner, or Sony and being an artist on both the country imprints and the Christian imprints (Capital CMG, Word, Provident).
I just pray to God it's not Curb, unless she's wanting to focus more on the Christian side. They do still have some pull with their artists on that format.
