I hope this can resurge their career a bit. They're too talented for the mediocre output they've had over the last several years. I'd love for another album as good as their first one.

I agree, their first album was amazing and unfortunately everything afterwards was never even close to as good. Definitely hoping for a turn around for them because they desperately need it!

Yeah, I expect this to be a good move for them. Based on what we've seen with other artists in a similar position to them, moving labels at this stage in their career usually leads to at least a temporary boost, provided they deliver with the right stuff musically. Even though their last three albums saw them have diminishing returns with follow-up singles, they've still managed to have continued success with lead singles out of the gate, so hopefully they can keep that up while also strengthening the back half of their eras.

Goes without saying, but this means that "Heart Break" will be their last single from the album. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a hits album released by Capitol in time for the holiday season.

Another signing that hasn't even been announced via press release or anything like that...Capitol Nashville has a new artist on its roster, Adam Hambrick. I only discovered this by looking at future releases on AllAccess; Hambrick's debut single "Rockin' All Night Long" goes for adds on October 1 already, and Capitol Nashville is listed as the label. I googled "Adam Hambrick Capitol" and there are a few radio station websites that mention that Adam visited their station back in August already, so he must still be on his radio tour. The radio station websites referred to Adam as a "new Capitol recording artist".
There's also a picture on Music Row's website from way back in April, just after the ACM Awards, where Adam is pictured together with UMG Nashville artists Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Jordan Davis, Travis Denning, Little Big Town, Maddie & Tae, Carrie Underwood, and Jon Pardi, as well as label president Cindy Mabe and label chairman/CEO Mike Dungan. So obviously UMG signed Adam a while ago, probably at least a few months ago already. It's just strange that there wasn't any sort of press release or announcement, and that his debut single goes for adds in less than a month.
Adam was a co-writer on a couple of #1 hits: Justin Moore's "Somebody Else Will" and Dan + Shay's "How Not To". He's also had songs recorded by Miranda Lambert and the Eli Young Band.

Yep, already mentioned elsewhere (if not above). So will future Luke Bryan music be released under 32 Bridge Entertainment/Capitol Nashville? That's what I'm assuming, but I know Luke had previously released some music (mostly EPs I think) under his Row Crop Records, LLC 'boutique' label "under exclusive license to Capitol Nashville".

^it is news from July. Glad he has an optimistic mindset. It is saddening to see him being dropped out of label twice. Triple Tigers might suit him for his solid fanbase.

An update on BBR Music Group...they still haven't assigned Kid Rock, Craig Campbell, Chase Bryant, or Brooke Eden to any of their imprints after the closing of Red Bow, but they did shift Walker McGuire from Wheelhouse to Stoney Creek. Craig Campbell's current single "See You Try" is being promoted by Wheelhouse but I wouldn't be surprise to see BBR let him go if "See You Try" isn't a hit, and it certainly doesn't look like it's gonna do much of anything at radio or in sales/streaming. So Craig is probably not in a very good position. Maybe the label will give Chase Bryant and Brooke Eden one more try each, but I could see both of them being cut as well.

Out of curiosity, what is Kristian Bush’s status. Between the Sugarland reunion and as a producer, does he have time to put out anymore solo albums?

Walker McGuire moving to Stoney Creek makes sense since Byron Kennedy is now the VP of promo for Stoney Creek (he was the west coast rep for “Til’ Tomorrow’s” promotion) and they feel good working with him closely on their new radio single, “Growin’ Up,”

Out of curiosity, has Sony Nashville consolidated their labels into one? They re-designed their website today and there are no tabs for Arista, Columbia, or RCA. Also, Tyler Farr is officially no longer a Sony Artist.

It looks like The Band Perry is no longer signed to Interscope Records and UMG/Mercury Nashville. They just released a new [non-country] EP, Coordinates, and iTunes lists the label as "TheTenTwentySix, LLC", which is TBP's own 'label', and there's no mention of any association with Interscope or UMG Nashville. So in other words it seems that it's an independent release. The Interscope website and UMG Nashville website still have The Band Perry under their artist rosters, but in addition to the label listing on iTunes, there's also this article from Variety that seems to indicate the group is no longer with those labels. A quote from the article: So yeah, Variety is definitely reporting that TBP is no longer with Interscope, and since their most recent record deal was a joint deal with Interscope and UMG Nashville, I'm sure the UMG Nashville part of it is done as well, especially since TBP isn't even a country band anymore. Rolling Stone reports that Artrat is The Band Perry's "newly-formed creative house", and I would guess that Artrat and TheTenTwentySix are one in the same (with TheTenTwentySix simply being the LLC name for Artrat). Furthermore, this is what Billboard had to say:

Not shocked The Band Perry left UMG. I will say that their career post "Gentle On My Mind" has been one of the biggest trainwrecks I have ever seen.
I recently decided to re-listen to both "Live Forever" and "Comeback Kid" and I am reminded why their career went the way it did.
"Live Forever" was such a heel turn in terms of sound and I remember the image rebranding being such a tunoff for fans online and then their was one of the members getting very defensive with a fan on Twitter and they would block anyone on the Internet who didn't 100% love the new direction. It was so off putting.
As for "Comeback Kid", nothing about it ever screamed hit to me, the sales for it were piss poor and radio was never enthusiastic about it (I think the fact that the song was very subtly mentioning how upset TBP was about "Live Forever" flopping was off putting). It failed and I also remember that during that time they insisted they were their to stay in country music.
Their career has just gone down in flames, and the transition from country to pop for them has been one giant wreck.
Good for them they have moved onto electronic music now and will probably do the music they want to do 100% since they are now independent, however they'll probably never be as big as they were and I imagine they had to have lost a few fans rather than gained during these past few years.
