MuchMusic is asking visitors online what her next single should be. They only list "Nobody But You," "For You," and "Baby Come Back." Of those, I feel only "Baby Come Back" is a viable option. Naturally, it's in last place. 40% want "For You," 40% want "Nobody But You," and 20% want "Baby Come Back."

I personally would want them to just send out "Mary Go Round" to the other formats once "Fall" has fallen.

Unless there's an extended version planned for a single? If so, I'd vote that just to get it. Otherwise the other two options are among my favourite left on the album. I've stated before why I wouldn't have For You as a single but at the same time, I think it would stick out well enough on the radio. Baby Come Back seems like the more likely option though. Merry Go Round does feel like the best option of them all.

Nobody But You is so so good, I'd love an extended version of it someday I second the motion that "Baby Come Back" is a viable option for a single.

I second the motion that "Baby Come Back" is a viable option for a single. From what Much posted, I would select "Baby Come Back." From the entire album, I would select "Heavy Love." I enjoy the entire album, and "Mary Go Round" does seem to be one of her favourites, but "Heavy Love" is too damn good to be relegated to album track status. "Mary Go Round" and "Fall" have both been slowing down lately, so I wouldn't be terribly shocked if they were the last two singles.

Heavy Love is a good song. It feels like the type of song to not really stand out from the mix on radio but would probably have an extremely low burn rate. I certainly wouldn't object to that being a single too.
I think it was one of the last songs I got into from the album but when I did, it quickly became one of my favourites.

She was remarkable, and she sounded awesome. Duh. The set was short, perhaps because she has the CHUM Christmas Wish Breakfast tomorrow, but sweet! "Nobody But You" "For You" "Sweeping The Ashes" "Fall" "Mary Go Round" "All For Love" "Stompa" "Please Baby Please" "It's No Mistake" "Weak In The Knees" "What I Wouldn't Do" "Baby Come Back" "Sing Sing" -- "Calling To Say" "Circle Of The Sun" --
"Call Me" (cut)

"Fall" got old quickly for me...that could have used a good remix I don't know what I'd pick for the next single; she has a few options.

... and now they have announced she's performing on ET Canada's New Year's Eve at Niagara Falls on Global on, well, December 31. ... and now, also that day, she's appearing on Air Farce New Year's Eve on CBC.

This week, "Fall" ... fell #33-#36. I hope they have some plans to reach the top twenty, at least.

Slayena. CBC Radio 2's top 100 songs of 2013
It's been an amazing year of music at Radio 2. We've heard thousands of great songs from hundreds of artists across dozens of genres. Unfortunately, we had to narrow it down to a mere 100 for our end-of-year list. It wasn't easy, but after a great deal of debate, number crunching and heartache, we've managed to put together our top 100 songs of 2013.
#63. "When You Know" - Matt Epp (w/ Serena Ryder) #55. "Fall" - Serena Ryder #37. "Beat This Heart" - Tim Chaisson (w/ Serena Ryder) #1. "What I Wouldn't Do" - Serena Ryder

Queen Seren-a. The top-selling digital track of the year was Robin Thicke's suggestive "Blurred Lines" with 692,000 units sold, followed by singles from Avicii and Pink. The bestselling digital tracks by Canadians β other than Thicke, a citizen by virtue of his actor father Alan β were Classified's "Inner Ninja" (320,000+), Serena Ryder's "Stompa" (240,000+) and Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home" (80,000+).

She says she has not yet recorded "It's No Mistake," but she has just been nominated for Original Song at the Canadian Screen Awards - apparently "It's No Mistake" was for The Right Kind Of Wrong, which stars Ryan Kwanten and Catherine O'Hara, and was originally released last year and has another wide release this year. Consider me confused. Nonetheless, congratulations?

"Fall" has rebounded and, this week, jumped four spots to the new peak of #29 on the Canadian Hot 100. eTalk is airing another "Bell: Let's Talk" special on Tuesday. These specials focus on raising funds and awareness for mental health initiatives. Serena will be discussing her battles with depression on the special.
Retracting my accusation that she had recorded "It's No Mistake" months ago and was compulsively lying to us. I had said that because the song was used in The Right Kind Of Wrong and was subsequently nominated for the Canadian Screen Award for Best Original Song or whatever. Turns out, the song was used for that film, but not with her vocals. You can hear the song here.

I remember when she performed this and she'd get us to sing it with her.
Who's singing this though? I thought it was Carrie Underwood first but then I realized it ain't.
