This song reached number 22 on the Radio and Records chart in the summer of 1986, and number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100. I was a bit surprised that it didn't do better, given the popularity of Duran Duran and The Power Station. This song had more of a Power Station feel to it.

Looking at charts from '86, it seems like "rockier" records (as this was) were having lesser and lesser success as the year went on (obviously they weren't all struggling, but it seems like many were).
Still, this is actually pretty good.
