November 7, 2012
Capitol's Now 44 looks set to move 95-105k, while Aerosmith's new one on Columbia should do 70-80k.
Ne-Yo (Motown) appears set to rap up 50-55k and Razor & Tie's All That Remains should scare up 20-25k.
Tell you more, tell you more? Well, Glease (Columbia), the newest dispatch from the cast of Glee, will likely sell 15-20k.

Pretty blah numbers for Ne-Yo. Brandy's #s were quit good then.

A mess at Ne-Yo opening to half of his last album despite having a huge hit on radio.
Just proves that if you piss off your R&B fanbase by going totally pop with the most generic StarGate/Max Martin/etc eurodance "club banger" you can find you will sell poorly (I'm looking at you, Usher and Chris Brown).
Male artists in pop are so, so dire, generic and interchangeable right now. If it weren't for Gotye, Alex Clare and Fun. we would have zero creativity from males in the mainstream right now.

Taylor Swift's 'Red' Going for Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart November 07, 2012 | By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles There's no stopping Taylor Swift's new album, "Red." Industry forecasters suggest the album will spend a third straight week atop the Billboard 200 chart next week, fending off new releases from Aerosmith and Ne-Yo, as well as the new "Now 44" compilation. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Nov. 14. "Now 44" looks to be the biggest of this week's new releases -- the set is on course for a start of around 100,000. While it's too early to tell exactly how many copies of "Red" Swift will sell this week, it should be enough to block "Now 44" from the top. The last "Now" album, "Now 43," debuted at No. 1 in August with 111,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. After the "Now 44" set, we're looking towards returning rock band Aerosmith to lock up the second-largest debut. The veteran act's "Music From Another Dimension" should launch with around 75,000 copies. It's the first album from the group since 2004's blues covers effort "Honkin' On Bobo" debuted and peaked at No. 5 in 2004 with a 161,000 start. Thus, the new album is Aerosmith's first set of original material since way back in 2001, when "Just Push Play" bowed and peaked at No. 2 (240,000). Elsewhere next week, watch for R&B/pop singer/songwriter Ne-Yo to paint the chart "R.E.D." with his newest release. It should secure the artist his fifth consecutive top 10 set (his entire output of material) with a bow in the range of 50,000 to 55,000. I can't wait for tomorrow tonight to see what Taylor's 3rd week will be. Above or below 200k?
Will Rod Stewart have a large or small decrease?
The real excitement starts next week: One Direction, Whitney, Christina, Susan Boyle, Green Day, Rolling Stones, Soundgarden, Twilight Sdtk., The Weekend, Olivia & John Xmas and Lana Del Ray.

Oh God what if Christina doesn't even debut top 10....shit. She has to sell at least 80k copies, I mean, that would be enough to give her a spot in the top 10, no?

I honestly think expecting 80,000 is too generous.

Next week's chart is gonna be interesting. And where is the runaway mega Christmas seller of 2012? Or will Susan Boyle be the last minute suprise Christmas seller? (I will never forgive the woman for blocking Alicia from Number 1 with that flavor of the moment album of hers.)

People still think of Susan as competition? Her last album missed the top 3 and only went Gold. Even as a fan of her, I must admit it is obvious the public interest in her has waned greatly. And the competition next week, and the weeks after is crazy (Xtina, 1D, Green Day, 50 Cent, Keyshia, Kelly, Rihanna, Alicia, K$, Bruno, etc.) If she can manage another 100K+ debut and go at least Gold before New Year's, I will be overjoyed. :)

Michael Buble had three 400k+ weeks last year. I don't see any of the new Xmas albums selling like Buble.

Glee's first EP sold almost 100k its opening week. Second EP, over 150k. Now down to the teens...

I think she may do slightly under that-more like 55-75K. Depending where she falls in that there will be Taylor, One Direction, and then 6-8 others who could potentially sell around 50 and nab her. Now that I look at it I do think it is likely she will get top 10 unless a LOT of those people trend very well, but it isn't as much of a guarantee as I would have thought. I think she may fall more in the 7-10 range. Of course, I am hoping she somehow trends upward-I just don't see much basis for it with zero promo less than a week before release and no hit at all. I will be pleasantly surprised if she does 80K+

I was just telling myself it's pitiful for these compilations albums to debut higher than some of these artists w/hits.

So stupid that they are still doing 100K everytime when actual pieces of work are tanking miserably. Get with it America.

Who the fuck is buying NOW CDs? I was assuming it wasn't gonna be on iTunes because people could just pick and choose, but it looks like the way they license the songs you can get 20 songs for $9.99, so I guess it does make sense. Hmm...still. There only appears to be 2-3 songs I would want (already have) so it does still seem stupid. Weird. Whatever.

NOW series is like collector's item you know I bet some people are just buying it to complete their collection in their libraries. I don't get why some people here are pissed that they sell well, it's not like their taking away sales from their favorite artists ;)
Just weird not seeing 21 anymore in the estimates

^Taylor is a very, very special exception for a couple of reasons.
Ne-Yo trending up, that is good for him. And a very nice small drop for Kendrick Lamar's third week.

Very nice for Scotty and Blake Shelton (who didn't get off to a great start but then again his album was released October 2).

Good for Taylor!
Aerosmith is trending down.
Rod has a small decrease.
4 Xmas albums in the Top 15.
