Yes, and Idol performance will make an impact on itunes (the song is already climbing on itues) and radio will go after that. The previous single was a hit, and this sound like one, there's no reason for radio not jumping on this

I doubt it's going to flop. It'll be big on Triple A/HAC/AC which is more important, as those formats tend to get albums shifting. Plus, it'll sell decently, especially with a performance on Idol. Although it would be really nice to see it go top 40 on Pop at least. :)

The song is on the verge of top 100 on itunes
They send this for adds? It will take a bit in showing on pop, but it's near top 25 on Hot AC and climbing fast and it's 15 on triple A, so i think more sooner than later this will appear on Pop

This song is a huge favorite of mine, and I hope it can do at least half as well as "Home" (I'd love it to do even better, but the odds are slim).

I actually think this is even more radio friendly and catchy than Home the more I hear it, but the problem is it won't have the massive Olympics promo that got.

Not surprised...I believe I thought that would be appropriate for it when I first heard it, actually. I just hope it doesn't become as tiring through overuse as "Home" has become.

That will be a great boost for the song, even with Idol's reach not being what is was in its heyday. American Idol was 2-for-2 when they switched to original boot songs with Bad Day and Daughtry's Home, but then they inexplicably went with Idols doing eighties covers, or worse, the year they picked a Will Young song that was six years old. Such a waste. But it's nice to see the stars continue to align for Phillip's career.

Being the Idol boot song can't hurt. They only use a little of the song once a week so I don't think people will OD on it.

Gone Gone Gone is going to be a hit. I have no worries there, especially with it being the idol boot song.

Nice to see it will be the Idol leaving song! Hopefully that'll help out its digital sales. :)

Nah. There's the Winter Olympics in 2014. That's only a year away!

Nice to see it will be the Idol leaving song! Hopefully that'll help out its digital sales. :) With that tittle is perfect for that role. It's been a long time since the last time an idol goodbye song became a hit, i think they are going to get it again with this

Sweet!! When I was listening to it this morning I thought to myself it would be perfect for that. I hope this gives it the boost it needs to be a major hit.

This is better than "Home" IMO, but something tells me this won't be nearly as big as that. Does anybody else feel that way?

This song is actually somewhat catchy while "Home" had grating vocals at the beginning and no hook to speak of. This song will be lucky if it gets into the top 30, being from an American Idol artist and all.

I don't think this will be as big as Home. That song is more emotional and this suffers because it sounds like Home. That said, as long as it's a hit it doesn't have to be as big a seller as Home.

he's very Jason Mraz-y. I like him a lot. And he's really cute.

It surprise me how many problems AI alums have to get to the radio when contestants of foreign talent shows (most of them are nothing special) get to the radio with zero problems. Anyway i don't think Phillip will get a problem with this, the second album will be a different story

Lol, I was just coming to post that it would make the perfect Idol kick off song and then I saw this. That's great news, and I think that can give it the push it needs to take off.

Phillip was a non-factor to me (I was like Jessica Sanchez lost to HIM?) but after hearing his singles I really like his music and I think he has the potential for lasting success (unlike some of the other Male idol winners)

Phillip hasn't written either of his singles, though. You can hear the Dave Matthews Band fanboy in some of other tracks he did help write on his debut. It could all go horribly wrong, if, on the next album, he's given more creative control and everything has the DMB sound, which I'm guessing won't be all that much more current in 2014-15, than it is now. But GGG is a strong follow-up single to a huge hit which puts him in a better position at radio than every other male Idol winner...
