I need her to deliver pop magic this time around. Probably, but I hope not. If Bey were to dive more into R&B. Lawd :'(

She's in a really tricky predicament. If she goes R&B ala 4 she won't get pop support and have trolls like that Britney stan saying idiotic things. But if she goes too pop and commercial she'll have the cool kids turning their back on her again. She needs a good balance, but if she tries to play both sides she may end up like Nicki/Usher.
I have faith in Bey and her team, so I'm not too worried.

I honestly feel like this will be her best album. She seems like she's is SUCH great spirits and SO unbothered. She's got her AK loaded.

Bey always had Pop appeal, whether it was a full blown Pop track or a huge crossover hit. & practically whatever she releases (or not) to R&B, it'll become a hit. "4" got limited Pop success b/c of 'RTW', the uncertainty of what songs should become singles & also how long they took to release a follow up for 'BTINH'. Her era shouldn't be all over the place again b/c we have no more speed bumps to worry about & she's out to redeem herself. She got this

I want no tacky clothes and hairstyles or videos and performances that have her doing the same thing over and over again. As usual.
This woman was life for me at one point in the past. And for that reason, I'll cry the day she dies. However, I'm older, wiser and not believing the hype anymore. It's time that, for all the hype, she has a truly--truly--superstar era for once in her career. Let this be her "the Fame Monster" or "Bodyguard"or something. And I reckon that can only happen if the shit is good.

I'm her huge fan, but I don't enjoy IASF that much, although some songs are amazing like Halo or If I Were A Boy. Her last album was outstanding...however I wish she hadn't put Run The World on it. IMO all of deluxe edition's tracks should have been included on standard. I also think 4 could have been more successful if she had released Love On Top or Best Thing I Never Had as a first single. I hope her 5th album will be awesome rnb record again. I'm not very good at English, so forgive me.

There's still a long way to go, but radio isn't as divided as it was when she was releasing singles from "4," and that was only, what, a year ago? Hopefully, the progression continues, and artists won't have to release so many singles to get their projects off the ground. But for right now, I don't see why she couldn't release something like "Diamonds," with a relatable, universal message, (and production with elements of different sounds that fit the three major formats) and score a multi-format hit with it. That would be her best bet.

www.complex.com/music/2012/12/the-100-hottest-female-singers-of-all-time/Sex sells. When we look at the spectrum of female singers over the past century, the most successful artists haven't just been gifted musically, but they've also been some of the most physically alluring women we've ever witnessed. And that's just a bonus to their unmatched talent, No. 1 singles, and record-breaking album sales. Sure, some women can't look like Aphrodite forever, but that's not to say their beauty is easily forgettable. In fact, we remember them all. And we've ranked the following 100 songstresses on being the hottest—we repeat, hottest—sex symbols in the history of music. 100. Lisa Loeb 99. Dido 98. Yukimi Nagano 97. Grimes 96. En Vogue 95. Linda Ronstadt 94. Dionne Warwick 93. Alice Glass 92. Adele 91. Caroline Polachek 90. Samantha Fox 89. Eartha Kitt 88. Tammi Terrell 87. Jewel 86. Charlotte Gainsbourg 85. Lily Rose Cooper 84. Not entirely crazy about the objectification angle (not to mention anything from #2 to #100 is debatable in terms of ranking order), but I'm not bothered by it enough to complain. And #1 is not really telling us anything we don't already know.
Okay I am just now really examining this list and...Adele? You place such an emphasis on how sex sells and then you include Adele? And Janet missing out on the top 10? Nah, son. Janet's actually the one other person I would have entertained beating out Beyonce.

That list is appalling. Whitney at 51 while Christina lands at...18? What the actual f**k.
And I really can't at them just putting girl groups on there as one person.

We should make a thread in The Lounge for that list b/c I want to rip it apart now, lol. I just now noticed Christina at #18. FWIW though they're clearly basing it on what a person looked like at her peak (which for Christina would be 2000-2006, and for Janet would be any point before she started acting and dressing like someone's great-aunt).

I am so ready for this!!!!!!!
The only time my stanning for Beyonce went away was in early 2008 when "Irreplacable" was EVERYWHERE and I couldn't stand it. I finally listened to B'Day during the I Am... era and basically skip BL & I and just listen to the rest to this day.

Bey will never delve straight into pop the way Usher and Nicki have, she's much smarter than that. :) Her fanbase is secure enough to where she doesn't have to try and venture out to appeal to others for sales since she gets them regardless. She usually does have a good balance, her hits on pop have never seemed contrived since they still tend to give off R&B teases. The PEPSI endorsement is so f*cking perfect too. Like seriously, her promo set-up is already slaying every other act out promoting rn.

Is there a place where your avatar exists elsewhere on the internet? I want to save it to my hard drive for all time with the caption.
