Their first song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Went to #44 in April 1983.

On my Alaskan vacation this past summer, I went to the ice museum east of Fairbanks, and played this song on their xylophone made of ice! It wasn't perfectly tuned, of course, but it did okay!

Good tune, they had some great album tracks on this album. The Ghost In You from their next album is my favorite.

One of my favorite voices in music, wholly unique and inherently emotional. They have some really great songs - this included. I love how the production is kinda cute and poppy, but then you have his voice which grounds it all in 80s alt/emo.
Also love hearing him on the two Love Spit Love albums from the 90s.

His voice is one of my favorites of all time. So distinct and full of feeling. I'm not really even sure what he's singing about, but I sure as fck feel all of it.
This song works as both a dance song, and new wavy alt-rock song. I guess that's a fine line for a lot of songs during the 80s. A bop.

Love "Love My Way". This was song was meant to be danced to wearing an overly long blue shirt, white shorts and white big ass sneakers.

40 years ago this week, "Love My Way" debuted at #75 on the March 5, 1983 Billboard Hot 100. It was the highest debut. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_My_Way_(song)#30 USA Rock #40 USA Dance #41 Cash Box #42 UK Front man of the group Richard Butler had a specific audience in mind when he penned the lyrics to this song. He explained this in an interview with Creem in 1983: "It's basically addressed to people who are fucked up about their sexuality, and says 'Don't worry about it.' It was originally written for gay people." Produced by Todd Rundgren

A f**king classic. It's been used in so many films for its emotional impact. The "Ahhhhhhhh------oooooohh" vocal near the end where he totally lets loose is so damn catchy. I just want to scream it along with him.
