I think "Adonis" is hinting that the announcement Billboard made yesterday (see his post) has a lot more to it then what the official press release is saying.

Billboard magazine's importance has decreased so much due to labels downsizing, record stores closing and the advent of mediabase.
Their subsciber base has more than been halved.
Back in the day, ALL the charts were in the magazine.
They also give less Soundscan information now. It's always rounded and never exact.
They need to have a good upcoming album release schedule.
The Top 40/Country newsletters should be in the magazine.

I told you BB was a HOT mess. THR is no better. I did some work on it to try and clean it up but f**king drupal is a HOT mess. Look at the code. If you try to change any of the code you risk breaking something. TDD/BDD was not of any concern to BB or THR when they were originally built. There are major architecture issues there and they won't be resolved anytime in the near future.

I am one of the 16,000 BB subscribers (digital only), but will not likely renew my subscription when it comes due. Especially since I can check out the e-magazine from the local library and read it on my IPad.
I personally think the magazine and website have gone downhill in recent years (it is now 1 year since the website was re-launched and it is still in BETA), and after this announcement, wonder if BB will still be around in 10 years.
