I just bought used import copy of Light Years down in New Mexico-and it's wonderful. Your Disco Needs You is soooo good. This record really makes Aphrodite and Kiss Me Once seem like half-hearted efforts. Light Years is an amazing album! "On a Night Like This" is one of my Top 3 Kylie tracks. That being said, please give Aphrodite once more chance. Kiss Me Once really does feel like a half hearted effort, but Aphrodite has some gems. If "Too Much" (produced by Calvin Harris and sounds exactly like "We Found Love") had been a single in the US when Calvin blew up, who knows what could have happened? Also on Aphrodite, check out "Put Your Hands Up" "Heart Strings" "Closer" "Get Outta My Way" (!) and "Cupid Boy" (!!) I know that's a lot of songs but apparently I really love that album haha!

I hate Light Years, imo it's easily her worst Parlophone album. I like most of the singles (On A Night Like This is a terrific song) but the lowest points are atrocious. It's camp to the point where it ODs many times over.

Light Years is near perfection IMO. Definitely a stronger album than X, Aphrodite and KMO. It's incredibly campy in places, which is the biggest complaint I always see lodged against it. But that's what makes it so amazing to me.

But that's what makes it so amazing to me. I thought Impossible Princess, Light Years, and Fever were an excellent, consistent trio of albums. Subsequent albums had some wonderful singles and album tracks. I haven't been a big fan of any of the subsequent ones overall though with the exception of Aphrodite and Kiss Me Once.

Her run from IP to BL was flawless IMO. X, Aphrodite and KMO are all very good albums, just not as strong as some of her previous output.

Light Years is in the middle for me. I don't think it's terrible but it's not my favorite either. I love the singles ("Your Disco Needs You" is camp done in the BEST way), and quite a few of the album tracks. The only ones I actually dislike are "Loveboat" and "Koocachoo." The strong points are very strong, and that album cover is everything.
Aphrodite is my least favorite Parlophone album. I've tried and tried to get into it, but I've only ever had luck with the first two singles + "Too Much."

Body Language has aged like a delicious fine wine for me though. I didn't appreciate it for the sonic masterpiece it is (sans "I Feel For You") at 13 years old when it was originally released.

So there's rumors that "Beautiful" with Enrique Iglesias is the next US single, in addition to Kylie adding it to her YT channel:
Were any of the international singles ("Into the Blue" "Sexercize" "I Was Gonna Cancel" "Sexy Love" "Million Miles") serviced to US radio?

Ugh, I hope that's not the next single. I'll take "Million Miles" or "Sexy Love" though.

I feel like it's been over for 2-3 months already, which is a shame because I found this album stronger than Aphrodite.

Her performance at the closing ceremony of the commonwealth games slayed! It was so nice to see Kylie on TV again. ^___^

Just heard the title track playing while dining at an Applebee's tonight. Loved hearing it w/o me having to play it myself!

I pretty much have all those tracks, as I bought all four of the Greatest Remix Hits albums a few years ago.

So there's rumors that "Beautiful" with Enrique Iglesias is the next US single, in addition to Kylie adding it to her YT channel It will be released officially in the UK on November 23. That's the only information so far, but there's isn't any that it will be in the US. Were any of the international singles ("Into the Blue", "Sexercize", "I Was Gonna Cancel", "Sexy Love" and "Million Miles") serviced to US radio? "Into the Blue" is listed as CNM on the US Dance radio since April (AllAccess doesn't update that section too much to be honest ), while that one and "I Was Gonna Cancel" received some adds there as well some months ago.

During the making of our film 20,000 Days on Earth we asked Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to play an intimate club show at Koko in London, a beautiful old Victorian music hall. We wanted to do something special for the fans, so while we were filming the scenes with Nick and Kylie in Brighton he asked her if she'd like to come and sing their infamous duet. Kylie jumped at the chance, and a few weeks later walked out on stage and performed Where The Wild Roses Grow live with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for the first time in 15 years
