I could totally see her nailing a more funk inspired sound. Something in the vein of Hailee Steinfeld and Anderson .Paak's "Coast" meets Lizzo's "Everybody's Gay" meets Kendrick Lamar's "King Kunta." Throw in some 70s rock elements a la Mick Jagger, and you've got yourself one hell of a sound there that her voice and persona would fit nicely into.

As much as I love FN, my one big complaint with it is that it didn't make use of her deeper vocal range too much outside of some songs like Love Again, so I hope this next album era offers more of that. I fell in love with her cause of her rich deep vocals on stuff like Hotter Than Hell, New Love, and Last Dance (the last of those still being my top favorite from her altogether).

I'm gonna guess a single will not be coming until summer-ish and the album might be a Q4 release. That or she follows the Future Nostalgia model and drops a single towards the end of the year and the album in 2024.
My expectations are sky-high.

I don’t really know what to expect. I love FN but didn’t like any of the songs she released after. Hopefully the new album is a different sound and not as generic as what she served after the original FN album.

I’m looking forward to seeing where Dua goes with this new album. FN is the best album of the decade, so the bar is set high. I think she would kill it with a more funk-leaning sound. Her last album launched her into superstardom, so I’m excited to see how her next album elevates her even higher.

I'd rather get a noisier/pop rock album than a funk pop album tbh! Still, excited to see what she's gonna come up with. Hopefully it won't be out before next fall. Future Nostalgia ruled for over two years. She deserves a break.

Well this happened somehow even after the meh song he titled after her but good for them I guess.
In a completely unrelated note, I'm still pressed they never finished and officially released this bop after teasing it at her Studio 2054 thing, its better than most of the songs that ended up making CAPRISONGS.
