Time for a new thread because the last one is 100+ pages and is getting messy.

Mariah is back on the morsel diet and working on her figure for the live Idol shows.

Here she is looking young and sexy with JD. Rumor has it that the material she recorded with him didn't go over well with the label. Back to the drawing board.

Mariah said the album will be out ASAP, but her manager Randy Jackson said that could be next year.

Well, the music better coincide with her Idol time........ she waits to long after that, and the public will have already forgotten her.

I'm glad the music with JD was rejected.... I'm sure everyone is looking for either vocals or hits, or a combination of both.

Don't let this opportunity go wasted girl.... you're losing your window space to get those hits in.

Island doesn't seem invested in "Almost Home" at all. This is one of the reasons soundtrack singles so rarely do well these days. Island isn't here for pushing a single released by Disney, since it's not released on their label.

I LOVE that she is a judge. When she starts giving ACTUAL vocal critiques (good and bad), my inner fan/stan starts acting up. Of all the judges, I respect her opinion the most. Overall, though, it is a strong panel of judges.

If the rumor that her work with JD was rejected by the label is true, that is very good news. It means they're actually investing in trying to get her a hit, or at least a good album. I was afraid Mariah was only surrounded by "Yes" people, so it's good that she has people telling her what's working and what isn't.

WOW! I wonder if there's any truth to that rumor about them rejecting the JD ish? Did they do that many tracks together? :O I think people are just over them as a team, post TEOM, sans a couple of tracks on a holiday album, emphasis on holiday album.

It means they're not going to put any money or support behind music they know is clearly not going to perform well, but it's not necessarily an indication that they're guiding her or investing much in her. I don't think she's even close to a top priority for the label, or they would have been pushing her into the studio with top producers a long time ago.

People don't want here her give positive feedback to the singers. They want her to be negative and mostly critical like the other female judge on the panel.

Yeah I actually find it hilarious that people are saying Mariah is a bad judge. She actually provides quite a bit of feedback. She gives the contestants positive and then tells them what they should work on. People are such blind sheep though. If the media says she should rude, mean, and abrasive, then everyone will say "oh she's too nice, terrible judge!" Half of what the other judges say makes no sense at all. Keith may as well not be there. Nicki likes anyone who looks like they climbed out of the loony bin. And Randy...is...well...ya know...

What I will say is I hope she has been more creative, and is really keeping things under wraps, and has really stretched herself to seek other talent outside of the box.

I'm sure Beyonce has sought out Miguel. But, I have feeling Mimi has, too. What a pleasant surprise it would be, but I won't be a bit shocked to hear/see his name amongst the credits of her album... whenever we get it at this point. lol
