Country Grammy winners so far: "Girl Crush" - Best Country Song, Best Country Group/Duo Performance "Traveller" - Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Album This is exactly how I expected things to play out -- LBT winning 2 of the 4 country categories, and Chris winning 2 of the 4. After all, "Girl Crush" was also nominated in the all-genre Best Song category, so that was a strong indicator that it would win Best Country Song. And Traveller was also nominated for the all-genre Best Album award, so I was pretty confident that Chris would beat out Sam, Ashley, Kacey, and LBT in the Best Country Album category.

I heard a country song on the radio by a female singer the other day that I really liked, so I memorized some of the lyrics and tried to look it up later. However, I cannot find the song anywhere, or the lyrics. Itβs like it doesnβt exist, but I KNOW it does, and I know I got the lyrics right. I was wondering if any of you guys know of this song, and could maybe tell me the title and who sings it. I would appreciate it a ton!
The lyrics I memorized are all from the chorus: βItβs just another day, but the pain wonβt go awayβ¦β βThe memories wonβt fade awayβ¦β ββ¦but youβre already gone.β (I THINK the lyrics right before this one are something like βyou say youβre gonna stayβ but Iβm not sure)
Once again, would appreciate a TON if someone could tell me what song this is. Thanks!

Thought I might share this (just because I can). This is a personal photo of one of my physical copies of the old R&R charts. This was the final issued R&R chart that reflected Mediabase data. The next week would reflect Billboard data (they were just bought by the Nielsen company). Physical copies are always cooler than just looking at them on the internet.

I stumbled on that website at a job I had between 2003-2005. It was neat to look at those charts back then.

Hey all, just wanted to make a quick note here. You might have noticed lately that this message displays at the top of older threads:
It's a new Pulse guideline that we hope will limit the amount of old threads that get bumped. However, it doesn't really apply to the country sub-forum. There are threads in this part of the board that will go dormant from time to time, only to become active again after many months, or even longer than a year, and that's completely fine with me.
In short, what I'm saying is, please feel free to bump old threads here in the country sub-forum (as long as what you are posting fits in a specific thread, of course). If you can't find a thread but you think that maybe it does exist, or that a similar one exists, it's okay to start a new thread. It's not really a big deal for me to look up the old thread and merge the new thread with it (it takes very little time). You can always tag me in the thread too, if you think I need to merge a new thread with an old thread.
I'll just leave this little "note" thread here for a few weeks since I've noticed quite a few newer members posting recently.
If you have any questions you can always tag me in this thread, or PM me. Thanks!

The synopsis is very true in my opinion. Very consistent quality and material. If I had to pick one and it is very tough to pick a number one for me but it may be his Road Less Traveled album which was released in 2001. However I feel every album whether it be Right or Wrong, Easy Come, Easy Go, or Cold Beer Conversationto all be great CDs with great material. Funny that his self titled album George Strait (2000) was ranked last on this list. This was one of my first Strait albums and loved the singles that were released. Guess it's time to pop that album in!

It looks like Shania Twain and Jason Owen's management company, Sandbox have parted ways Article via Hits Daily Double
Edit: Does anyone know what this means for Shania and her career? I am not all that familiar with how management works.

Humm... I quite like this one! Way better than the previous mess they were performing and Kimberley sounds great in it. It's definitely 100% pop though... I guess that's how it's gonna be for this era.

They were just dropped by their label. Who knows if they're staying country.

Does anyone else feel like The Band Perry has morphed into Kimberley + two henchmen (the brothers)? They seem to have zero role anymore besides stand to her side lol

Lol :kii:

They seem to have zero role anymore besides stand to her side lol From the performances I've seen, Reid is still playing the bass guitar. Neil, on the other hand, seems like a "backing singer" in most of them (with mandolin and bouzouki not being used in this new direction they are taking, it must have affected his role in the band I guess)

Neil, on the other hand, seems like a "backing singer" in most of them (with mandolin and bouzouki not being used in this new direction they are taking, it must have affected his role in the band I guess) Last time I visited Reid's instagram I remember reading a comment from someone saying he wasn't playing his bass live at their show, that it was obvious and at times he didn't even touch the strings. I believe it. Lately watching their live videos the instruments will be playing but the brothers' hands are in the air, I'm not talking TV performances, I'm talking TBP concerts. I don't know if Neil's solo song is still up for the album but I've noticed he's been singing (or just making noise) a lot more in the new songs. He also barely touches his mandolin too just waving his arms in the air and pointing at the crowd. As it is now this band really is The Band Kimberly Perry. I feel bad for her bros though, they have no purpose other than being Kimberly's sidekicks. That's just sad.

Kacey Musgraves is featured in a new remix of the song "Waves" by R&B singer Miguel (don't know if many people here are familiar with him, but he's great) Being a big fan of unexpected collaborations and both Kacey and Miguel, I loved it!!
