I'm fairly certain these girls were known as "Sweet Aliana" for a while. I believe you're right.... either way though...they're great! Perhaps they'll do something for females in the genre... Mus1cr0w

sabre14 Good choice. I miss SHeDAISY so much. They were a sensational group. Some of the most unique songwriting and great vocals. Country is missing out on the absence of a girl group imo.

Yeah, I actually totally forgot about them when I made that comment, but I was referring more to a full-fledged girl group like SHeDAISY instead of a side project composed of solo artists. One that will actually want to make a bid for radio and attain some substantial airplay would be preferable. Shame that Stealing Angels failed, because I liked them, and The Lunabelles only got one single before being dropped.

Pistol Annies don't count because of failed chart success coupled with the fact they aren't touring full time. It's a dedicated side project. We do need one though, and I dearly miss the girls of SheDaisy as well.

I almost forgot what real Country music sounded like. This is great! It makes me sad knowing that this is the greatness Country radio used to be compared to the mess it is now.

^ i know right! It shows the drastic identity crisis country music is facing. I miss hearing songs like these. Hypnotize The Moon, This Woman And This Man, My Heart Will Never Know,Dreaming With My Eyes Open were all my favorites it would be hard to choose just one. He is one of the best country singers of the 90's and today imo.

Clay was barely in his 20's when he became a 90s mainstay on radio. By the age of 30 he was already being shown the door and only had a hit every few years in his 30s. Now at 44 he is pretty much a "legacy act." All that I said just alone show how pathetic Country music has become in the 21st century. This concert proves that Clay is still on top of his game vocally, but the "Game" of Country music has changed so much he seems as old as George Strait when it comes to radio. There is no excuse for Clay not being a constant hit maker thru the years like George was up til, well, now. The songs radio passed on of Clays thru recent years (other than SWBLL) would have been hits had the genre not become ashamed of its own identity.

Jennifer Nettles and Martina McBride will be taking part in MusiCares Person of the Year to honor Carole King. They are the only country people listed so far for the event. source

Random Video Of The Day:
Artist: Jimmy Wayne Single: "Paper Angels" Writers: Jimmy Wayne, Don Sampson Album: Jimmy Wayne Label: Dreamworks Nashville Video Director: Peter Zavadil Year Released: October 25, 2004 Billboard Peak: #18
Tis the season :). "Paper Angels" originally charted in late 2003 for the Christmas season. It peaked at #40. Then was officially released as the final single of his debut album in October 2004. The song was only on the chart from early November through January, but managed to peak all the way to #18. Tying the record for a Christmas themed single with "12 Redneck Days Of Christmas". Jimmy wrote the song about the Salvation Army Tree Program for children who are in need for gifts. Jimmy was homless at one point and went to different foster homes after his mother had legal troubles and he was abandoned by his real father. The song produced the book Paper Angels as well, which he co-wrote, and is currently being worked on as a Christmas movie.

Per People Magazine's exclusive report.Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line got married this evening at sunset at his Nashville home to his girlfriend Brittney Cole. There was no formal proposal for the couple or anything like that. They knew they loved each other and wanted to be with each other. So they kept it very low key with the engagement and wedding. Only having 40 people including Tyler Hubbard and the Florida Georgia Line band. I will say he hinted this weekend he was "lockin' it up" when someone tweeted about her and how hot she was. He has been very open with fans about her posting instagrams and tweeting to her publicly. So I'm not totally shocked he got married. I was expecting news of them eloping or possibly a proposal over FGL's few week break since ending their tour.

Why don't you guys take it one step further. Sit down and try to write a song better than these 15 songs, record it, and POST IT here on Pulse Music Board for everyone to listen to. Let's see if you are as good at writing songs as you are running them down. Haha.

^ I think Markus and .indulgecountry should not even respond to countrymusic20 anymore. It does niether party any good and will just go in circles. The list was our opinions. I can't stress that enough. "Opinion" being the key word. Just because you don't agree, doesn't mean you have to make ridiculous propositions to "why don't you write one if you think there bad". This isn't even worthy to be called childish. I think there would be 8 year olds offended by that. If you don't like what we have to say...Then don't read it.

Just trying to have a bit of fun Sabre14. I'll mark you down in the "can only run down country songs" category. No need for hysterical overreaction posts like this. I'm sure Markus and Indulgecountry are mature enough to make their own minds up without your hand holding.
