Released in the fall of 1989 as the first single from her second album Can't Fight Fate. Hit #5 Pop, #8 Dance, and #22 AC.

This is ok, she's had better. It drags on at times.

Eh...each of her hits from her debut album had a sound that made them stand out amongst the pack. So it's kind of disappointing that she'd kick off the second album with one that just seems like one of the crowd.
Not a bad song, but it's nothing special.

Well, allow me to be the combo breaker and say that this is my favorite by her. Love.

I like all of her hits, this is a jam. And I'm a sucker for a sax solo. The pre-chorus is my fav part.

I got down to this. Solid track and sounded great on the radio at the time. Out of her 7 top 10s, I'd rank this 5th or 6th. But they're all good.

This song was pretty good, but I didn’t like it as much as her singles from her debut album and maybe a couple of the album tracks. I Even liked a decent amount of tracks on her third album “Soul Dancing”. I believe her second album was influenced by the record label to be a bit more AC. That’s probably why it seemed a lot more safe and less funky than her debut.
