Wonderful to see Prince graduate, sad that MJ could not be there to see it. I'm sure he's still a proud papa, wherever he is. :)

The King of Pop (and best selling pop artist of all time) has been ranked at No. 34 on a list of the top songwriters of all time by Rolling Stone: MJ

Happy Birthday to Michael Jackson. I still miss him so much. He really was the artist that formed the musical tastes I maintain to this day. You can still his influence today, in hits such as the weeknd's "can't feel my face"-- but the fact remains, there will NEVER be another artist greater than Michael Joseph Jackson. Love him so much.

I just wish his creative brilliance was still with us. Real artists like MJ hit their prime in their 50s & 60s. Overall, I'm grateful for what he left us.

Totally agree. He left an incredible body of music that will stand the test of time. He often said that to escape death he binds his soul to his work. With MJ I really feel that. You want to know who MJ was or what he stood for? Listen to his music. It's all there.
We were lucky to be alive while his supernova hit. Genius like his comes along very seldom.
RIP MJ.

20 years ago today The King became the first artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "You Are Not Alone":

Ugh, please no. I have yet to see anything half decent about MJs life in movie/tv form. It's just too hard to cast someone like him I think. Any actor I've seen try and be him just falls flat.

"Thriller" has begun it's annual Halloween ascent up iTunes. Now # 62 & #96. :)

They should have put our another single from Xscape especially to dance. I was surprised they did not.

Still though it had a huge platform with the hologram performance.

^There's been no official word from the estate about Dangerous 25. The returns for Bad 25 were abysmal so I can't see it happening but would gladly welcome it if it did.

I hope they do a Dangerous25 and add in whatever songs he recorded for the Dangerous album that never made it on there.

The catalog sales aren't usually for Bad 25?

Aren't any sales for Bad 25 just counted towards the sales of BAD? BAD has been certified at 9 Million for awhile now. I wonder how far it is from 10 Million?

I've been listening to a lot of Michael this month. I just got around to listening to the original versions of the songs on Xscape and "Loving You" is perfect!

Michael would not have wanted a white man portraying him.

The whole premise of this new supposed movie turns my stomach. It sounds so disrespectful to not only MJ, but also Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando. These people were fucking icons, not jokes to be mocked.
