The press release is all over my facebook newsfeed. I have not read it carefully yet. Any first single or will it be promoted as and album as a whole? The deluxe edition sounds very interesting because it will have a second disc with the vocals (or is it whole demos?) just the way Michael left them. That's exactly how I want to hear them. I guess it's fine for current producers to work on them as long as I don't see Bieber as guest ANYWHERE and as long as Timbaland didn't put his wikiwikiwiki thing all over a song... I'm very curious to see if in the last almost decade of his life Michael worked in some really good material.

I'm glad they're releasing the original demos because that's how I'd prefer to hear the material. The "updated" production on his last posthumous album was awful. That said, I was never a big fan of "Xscape," so I don't know if I have high expectations for the project.

I'm laughing at how many people have hit me up asking if I heard about Xscape releasing a new album.

I'm surprisingly excited for this. Not only the album cover slays to the point that I would have no trouble putting it right next to his albumS from 1990s, but this album is titled after my favourite unreleased track ever.... (well, after Blue Gangsta)this project feels like a huge conpromize between Epic and the fans. The label had to polish the tracks to make it an attractive commercial product for casual listeners, but also demo versions will be available for the most dedicated fans. Attitudes towards this album already completely different compared to Michael. I LIKE IT.

"Do You Know Where Your Children Are" (aka "12 O'Clock") April Fool's? Can people just give him a break? It's a song from Dangerous recording session. The demo leaked slighly before Michael LP release. It's a rock track that gives me Give in to Me vibe soudwise. The tracklist in order: 1. Love Never Felt So Good 2. She Was Lovin' Me 3. Chicago 4. A Place With No Name 5. Do You Know Where Your Children Are 6. Slave to the Rhythm 7. Blue Gangster 8. Xscape

Damn! I was hoping for an instant download of at least "Slave To The Rhythm" with the pre-order. I guess with only 8 tracks they probably won't pre-release anything for individual purchase.

Any life long die hard fans here who feel that after History, the material, music and visuals, etc, just wasn't the same anymore?
Any of you also who just can't consider "new material" the same way you would had he been alive? Kinda like "after MJ died there can no longer be any "real new MJ"" ?
Hopefully the "original" versions will have that special feel.
Oh and are we supposed to read the title as "Escape" or "Ex-Scape" ? Anyone find the title cheesy?

Oh my, if that is indeed true. I am somewhat interested in this project. That's quite the lineup. Jesse Johnson from The Time?! LOOOORDT. I forgot he even existed. I had his solo album on vinyl.

Any life long die hard fans here who feel that after History, the material, music and visuals, etc, just wasn't the same anymore? The Invincible album is completely different from his previous releases and I think this is the issue that some fans have with this album to begin with. I remember how underwhelmed I was shortly after the release. I was around 11 years old at that time still very much in love with the HIStory album - not only with the music but also with Michael's honesty on this record. He was pissed and deeply hurt and wanted everybody know about this for a change. This had its reflection in songs like Scream, TDCAU, Stranger in Moscow, This Time Around, Money, D.S. & Tabloid Junkie So many songs refelecting his anger on just one LP... This never happened before. He went even further with exposing himself to the public in Morphine were he portraited mental condition of a drug addict on Blood on the Dance Floor album. This track always gives me shivers on my backs. It's a cry for help, imo that no one from his enviroment really paid attention to. So it's kinda understandable that Invincible wasn't the follow up I expected it to be. The potencial was there since all these unreleased songs carry his distingtive sound, but somehow didn't make the cut. Including Slave 2 The Rhythm, Blue Gangsta and Excape: all free of them are my favourite unreleased tracks from him and were recorded for the Invincible album... I don't love this album but I still like it. My TOP5 tracks are: Unbreakable Break of Dawn Whatever Happens Don't Walk Away Butterflies Any of you also who just can't consider "new material" the same way you would had he been alive? Kinda like "after MJ died there can no longer be any "real new MJ"" ? Hopefully the "original" versions will have that special feel. No not really. There will be new MJ material - in the demos, BUT not in the modernized versions. For example this song below is new Michael song, the version which was included on "his" last LP isn't. Oh and are we supposed to read the title as "Escape" or "Ex-Scape" ? Anyone find the title cheesy? Escape. :) Nope, I like this title. It suites Mike and his discography way more that Michael

I was just randomly taking a look at MJ's Vevo today and I noticed They don't care about us is his second most watched video, only behind Thriller. I didn't expect the song to be that popular. I'd expect something like Beat it ou Billie Jean to take that spot.

Another Artwork this era that is just... :o It really seems they're giving everything they got to the fans. Possible STTR single cover, I guess if it becomes one.
