Here's the "Home" soundtrack tracklisting and credits: Rihanna's credited as the executive producer and it will be the first album release through her new company, Westbury Road Entertainment and Roc Nation. She has four new songs on the project ("Dancing in the Dark," "Towards the Sun," "As Real As You and Me" and "Drop That"), and "Only Girl (In the World)" is also on there. The Charli XCX song leaked earlier this month, and a clip of Jennifer Lopez's song was played on Entertainment Tonight yesterday: Sounds very Kidz Bop, so far. I'm ready for her to announce her actual album release date.

I haven't anticipated a new album from her this much since Rated R.

And, has either gotten to the point where they can just use their first name?

A new picture leaked from her private birthday party last month, which I guess confirm the Leonardo DiCaprio rumors: She went big, this time.

I think she's going to be critically celebrated for such a risky change in sound, and I think it's awesome that she's doing it. I'm just...not feeling it at all (based on the limited sample).

Her sound is definitely jarring. I don't think I like that song based on the video, but it does make me excited to see what else she's planning!

The meltdowns this era are going to epic, lmao! It seems like she's really focusing on her ever-improving and ever-changing vocals and I'm here for that, really hope this album is critically accalimed for her!
With that being said, however, I think I'll need some time to digest the latest snippets. She sounds amazing and I like them, of course, but it's definitely a great change in sound, and it will be, perhaps understandbly so, a little bit jarring for some. Assuming the track makes the album, of course. :)

It sounds interesting sonically, but vocally...my GOD! It's like 2005 Rihanna has come back. That second snippet is atrocious, and this is the same problem I have with "FourFiveSeconds".

I feel two ways about it. I definitely think it's stupid that she's purposely singing like that now after she's had to prove her vocal abilities for years. At the same time, I do think the scratchiness works in some parts of the songs she's been releasing, which is why I'm on the fence. The "higher" snippets are prime examples of what I'm talking about; I like the scratchiness in the first clip, and feel it's grating as hell in the second clip. But I guess you can't please everybody, and no matter how she sounds, the same people who have always hated her voice will continue to, so....

Some fans have noticed a pattern:
"FourFiveSeconds" was released January 24. "Towards the Sun" was released February 24. The "Home" soundtrack will be released March 24. #R8 will be out April 24?
I was skeptical about believing it at first because April 24 is a Friday, but then I remembered that it was announced that the new global release date for albums will be on Fridays, so it could very well be true.

Seconded. I'm not mad at her for the direction she's taking. I admire it even! But it's not what I want and have been anticipating from Rihanna and it's kind of killing my personal interest in the project.

That wasn't scratching. That was a billy goat being strangled in a back alley and crying out in vain for help. American Oxygen sounds like it has the potential to be huge and amazing. I'm in love with it already. I will reserve judgment on Higher until I hear it in full, but I'm not really feeling her voice in that snippet.

"American Oxygen" sounds OK.
I only love "Towards The Sun" from all the new music she has released/previewed so far. Such an... offbeat era.
