I just died. I can't even believe my eyes or make an intelligent comment because I'm dead.

It had a handful some days back, but it doesn't look like it's gotten any new ones since.

I actually have come to really like this song. its not "single material" imo but that doesn't mean it isn't a good song. does this even have an add date? im not even sure why there is a thread for this in CHR

Wow, can this be doing SO badly??!!! It's not even I think in the Top 100 of iTunes. I hardly ever like any music Mariah puts out, but this one I do like. I mean, it's not like it's the best song ever, but she managed to keep the most of the usual cheesy stuff to a minimum and annoying screaming or whispering out of the song too. I bought it today. I cannot even remember when was the last time I bought anything from her. Perhaps the 90s...

^ Most people have no idea she has a new song out.
Meanwhile, this is my favorite song of hers since, well, #Beautiful. BUT, the 2 of them are my favorite 1-2 songs of hers since the Butterfly album. I am obsessed with both of them, and they were both instant classics for me. I no longer care about Mariah's chart success- I am thrilled with the level of her music and have a feeling her new album (whenever the hell it may be released) will be one of her strongest ever.

Well, technically, most of the world probably doesn't known when an act has a new single out, given the world population. But, premiering it on Facebook certainly lets a good amount of people know, especially if someone "likes" her- she has nearly 15 million likes on there. Your attitude about the charts is a good one (I'd give a thumbs up if there was an emoticon here).

I really don't think they have any intentions of sending this to CHR.

This is not even a radio single, it hasn't been delivered or promoted to any format at all. According to UMG's internal memo, this is just a single for the fans at this moment,we can close this thread now.

Ok, perhaps this is not the case for Mariah, or perhaps yes.... But it's tiring how easy nowadays when suddenly a 1st single flops, fans and labels go with the "it's a promo single", "it's a single for my fans", "it leaked without us planning it", etc, etc, etc. Of course if it explodes on iTunes, they will say that it was always meant and released to be the FIRST and introductory single for the new album. Mariah announced: "Hi everyone!! I couldn't be more thrilled to announce that my brand new single "THE ART OF LETTING GO", will be released here exclusively on my Facebook page on 11.11.2013!!" So then now I guess she would have always to say what type of single she's announcing? How were Triumphant and #Beautiful announced? Let's see what happens with the next single she releases if it gets no love from the general public. Regardless, this is the first song of Mariah's that I've really liked in years and years. I will still enjoy it on my iPod regardless of how its chart performance goes. This is not even a radio single, it hasn't been delivered or promoted to any format at all. According to UMG's internal memo, this is just a single for the fans at this moment,we can close this thread now.

According to UMG's internal memo, this is just a single for the fans at this moment,we can close this thread now. Obviously, Triumphant is a single, though it's a standalone single (announced as the "advanced single") and it flopped hard, #Beautiful was definitely defined as the leading single off the "new album" which we don't know when it's gonna be released. But this song is not a radio signle at all, check AllAccess and FMQB, there is no info on it at all. Regardless of the chart performance, IDJMG didn't send it to any core format (I am on their service list), and it wasn't even meant to be. Looking back at Triumphant, there was radio promo, video promo, even it was not linked to an album project, TAOLG is just a teasing song, though I though it might have a chance to do well on UAC radios, but they (IDJMG and MC's team) seem to wait early next year to pick a cross-format song to be the "new single".

"#Beautiful" is the only one of the songs she's released that was actually announced as the lead single from the album. There were never plans to send this to radio. I mean maybe if it became some #1 iTunes smash hit, they would have changed their minds, but what were the chances of that?
