Anyway RIP Perfume. Thank you for all the updates and discussions people. Main thing is we are all passionate about this pop legend, that's why we get into arguments and debates. May the next single or era be bigger for Britney and her army.

Back to losses today, so, yes, yesterday was the last update.
It's not likely that future singles will smash, with how the first two singles performed. Unless the project experienced an I'm-Not-Dead-like resurgence- but, that album was an exception in how the third single turned things around, for sure.

I really dont think they'll be another single or video. Unless she shoots a video before jan 29 because the next set of shows are starting soon.

I thought they already confirmed Alien as the next single? Britney said she wanted it as a single. Doesn't mean it will be though.

It Should be Easy should not be the next single simply b/c of will.i.am. I really don't understand where the idea that he is this massive worldwide star came from but this needs to be squashed now. Anyone who's looked at will.i.am's chart history outside of the UK would quickly realize just how false this is. Before Scream and Shout, he only had one worldwide hit. Even then, it ended up not charting well in some very key markets. Plus, his follow-up single to Scream and Shout was also hit-and-miss when it came to chart success.
I don't have the extreme dislike that some people have of ISBE but I certainly don't care for it and definitely dislike the idea of it as a single. The release of it as a single would come off as highly contradictory after all the over-hyping regarding her vocals and how BJ is her most personal album ever. I usually don't even mind if her voice is altered but it just seems unnecessary for the song. It feels like it was done for the sake of it and it doesn't do anything but detract from the song.
There have been four songs that have been tested on radio stations across the world: It Should be Easy, Body Ache, Til It's Gone, and Alien. Passenger was mentioned in the documentary, so I suppose that could possibly be considered as well but it will more likely be one of those four as of now.

I think I have already said this, but from the options Eqbk posted above, I really hope "Alien" could be the next single and then "Passenger" or viceversa. I wouldn't mind in what order honestly, but I really want these two songs to be released as singles.
However, if Britney and/or Britney team wants to release an uptempo, "Til It's Gone" should be the next one, despite it reminds me to "Glassheart" and "Right Now", but it's by far the best from the other two mentioned in my opinion. I also don't get the hype for "It Should Be Easy" honestly and I agree with what Eqbk said about it and I personally don't think it could be the next "Scream & Shout" despite many people say otherwise. Regarding "Body Ache", I also don't get why many people like it. I know, it's catchy and it's acceptable, but I think the vocals on the second verse, which I don't think they're from Britney honestly, are a let down for me.

"Til' It's gone" reminds me of Demi releasing "Neon Lights" for the most part. If Til' It's Gone could perform the way Neon Lights currently is, then I'd be all for it. Still think it needs to be Passenger though...the one really melodically, hooky pop song left on the (standard) album.

Absolutely crazy how poorly this performed on iTunes. Some of you try to blame work bitch for this flopping but compared to this work bitch is a monster hit. I would love to get digital sales of this, I predicted this would be her worst selling released single and I think I'm right.
I am looking forward to what she releases next, I think it's going to be alien, but hoping they surprise me and release tic tic boom! It would be nice for her to get a surprise big hit. Work bitch may not be selling well, but it's still selling, I think it will go platinum and keep selling and selling.

I don't even regard "Work Bitch" as a flop- pretty much everybody knows the song and it's a party favorite. It went Top 15 on radio and sold a good amount of copies on iTunes, maybe numbers-wise it was a "flop" (dramatic usage of the word in my opinion) but considering it's a very well known song makes it not a flop in my eyes. Just like Run the World- yeah maybe numerically it's a flop but EVERYBODY knows the song so how much of a flop is it really?

I think back to Larry saying that this would be a "career song" for her and wonder what he was smoking. I mean, it's decent, but I knew from the first time I heard it that it wasn't going to be a hit on the level of '...BOMT', 'Oops!', 'Toxic', 'Circus', etc. If Til' It's Gone could perform the way Neon Lights currently is, then I'd be all for it. Still think it needs to be Passenger though...the one really melodically, hooky pop song left on the (standard) album. I agree. Either 'Passenger' or 'Til It's Gone' for the win. Honestly, though, at this point I'd be okay with anything but 'It Should Be Easy'. Speaking of, why the hell have they still not announced a third single? This obviously isn't going any further. Get with it, RCA.

Get with it, RCA. I agree, but this is typical behavior for RCA, isn't it? They horribly mismanage singles for every major artist that I closely follow that is on the label. It's one of the main reasons I was so bummed about Jive dissolving and Britney falling into RCA for the last album on her contract. I don't think it's a good fit for her professionally, even if it seems like they have given her personal creative control with the album. Them nixing the Perfume video concept, after it was already shot, is so RCA and is exactly why I want Britney as far away from them as possible.

MiniMusic, how does one determine that "pretty much everybody" or "EVERYBODY" knows "Work B*tch"? I'd find that hard to believe. It didn't perform all that well in sales (especially compared to her previous releases), and didn't have a lengthy run in the top half of the Hot 100 (more than half of its 13 weeks were spent in the 59-88 range). "Perfume" was a stronger track, but it probably did suffer in part because of the lead single's performance. But, also because of an apparent indifference at this time.

Before it was decided to be a single, the radio mix that is on the main album didn't exist. It was the dreaming mix that everyone heard and praised. They may have exaggerated things but the song fits the description quite well. Then of course when it became a single, they got worried that the dreaming version (that they were so convinced would be career-defining) wouldn't be accepted by radio. So a last minute radio mix was quickly put together that stripped the song of basically everything that they supposedly liked about it in the first place. The only thing left intact was her vocals.
The dreaming mix isn't perfect but that chorus is just amazing, imo. Her voice sounds so good on top of the instrumental during the chorus. The vocals and instrumental just mesh and blend really well during the chorus. The most awkward part of the radio mix was the best part of the original version.
Though it likely wouldn't been as career-defining as some of her past singles, it could have been a great moment in her career if they weren't so scared and played it safe with both the song and the video. Plus, a performance could have really helped. They talked constantly about how amazing she sounds vocally. A live performance to showcase those vocals could have hammered that in far more effectively than anything that came out of her team/label's mouth.

At least it wasn't Christina howling over this like a coyote in heat. Can you imagine? Whenever most divas have a flop era, it usually shuts up their stans who seem to think they're invincible. Maybe not at first, because they're in denial, but usually after about a year they tone it down. Howeve, Christina stans are stuck in 2003. How on earth do they think she's doing better than Pink Britney right now? I feel like even if she continues to fade away, her stans will forever stay in 2003.

I say they should release "Tick Tick Boom' with TI cuz in the Winter, people need to be feeling lifted. They should push "Perfume" in the Summer. You hear the summertime crickets in the gas station scene???

I think they should go with "Tick Tick Boom" 3rd and "Passenger" 4th since it's more of a summer song. Plus both are catchy and they fit the seasons pretty well.

If they go with passenger they better release a new mix. Her voice is so digitally manipulated (even for a Britney track) that it's grating.

After listening to It Should Be Easy, I think it should definitely be released if they redo her vocals. She's way too auto-tuned in the song.

"Til It's Gone" or death to the record, TBH.
