Chart’s up, already. Extras will, of course, have to wait until the broadcast.
Katy surrenders the top spot, but makes up for it by having the highest debut. After, seemingly, going the wrong way a couple weeks ago, The Neighbourhood correct their course and have the week’s biggest mover.

Glad to see "Berserk" leaving. Awful song. Bruno Mars is SOOO close to getting his 12th Top 10 in a row.

Strangely, I was getting into "Berzerk" as of late.
This week's chart compares very nicely to Mediabase, actually - the only song not in the Top 40 yet is of course "Alone Together", but that's #43 there - behind "The Other Side" which fell out last week, "Don't You Worry Child" which is just moldy by now, and "Thrift Shop", which re-enters MB's Top 40 (again) at #40.
Having said that, the 18-notch drop for "I Need Your Love" is certainly a surprise (surprise, in that it fell that far). I'll be shocked if it manages to stick around next week after that. I'd ask if any song has managed to stick around after dropping double-digits, but of course, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" just did that a couple months ago.
Also glad to see Lorde gets a week at the top. *sighs with relief*

Is it me, or does Ryan sound a bit different this week? His voice sounds rougher than usual.

Also glad to see Lorde gets a week at the top. *sighs with relief* And Thursday marked her 17th Birthday. In fact, "Pardon the Interruption" honored her Today (even though both Kornheiser and Wilbon are too old to get into Today's mainstream music).

I heard only parts of it so far, but Ryan's voice sounded somewhat thinner and raspier than normal, like he was getting over a cold or something. With his umpteen other duties, maybe he pushed it a bit too far this week.
On this week's chart, the two longest charting hits ("Can't Hold Us" and "Mirrors") either have or almost certainly will outlast their immediate followups, with "Same Love" eight notches lower than "Can't Hold Us" and "Take Back the Night" already having come and gone. Of the three debuts, "Unconditionally" makes a predictably strong entrance; Hayley Williams has both a featured credit and a Paramore hit simultaneously, for the second time; and Pitbull restarts Ke$ha's stalled hit parade.
Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran score a jackpot (should it be paid out in American dollars or British pounds?); "Sweater Weather" surprisingly is the biggest upward mover (it took 11 weeks to get out of the 30s); and as Lorde hits #1, Aviici moves back up to #2 and will probably replace her on top.

When, on Fridays, does the iHeart station air the show? It seems my recording got botched.

"The Fox" by Ylvis gets shafted again. There's no, logical, reason to believe it should be here in the first place.

They make the mistake of making Harlem Shake chart, but Harlem Shake was number one at billboard hot 100 and on itunes. I doubt they'll make the same mistake with the fox wich is a song that never reached top 40 in mediabase (without the recurrents) and it's on its way down on the charts

On this weekend's Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, it's also the biggest dropper falling 13 spots from 20-33. Heh, falling to 33 would've been closer to what Id've guessed for it this week. On the subject of Calvin, I wondered for a moment if he had a long active streak about to end here. No dice..."Let's Go" needed to make it to the end of last year to connect it and the two before with the two this year and have a streak dating back to 2011; it fell a handful of weeks short. Oh, and this is the second time this year we've had a song titled "Heart Attack" as the Subway Fresh Buzz Song of the week. Me wonders if Subway is really so good for our health.

Is it me, or does Ryan sound a bit different this week? His voice sounds rougher than usual. I heard him on a commercial earlier today. It's probably the same bug going around that I just got over as well.

This week's chart looks to be about right. Such a fresh chart. When I heard the show, Ryan did sound like he was getting over a cold or something.
Very glad to hear Lorde at #1 instead of Avicii, although he most definitely will take it next week.
Selena breaks into The Top 10 at #9 with "Slow Down", when "Come and Get It" falls to #38. Maybe that will fall off next week or the week after.

Does the iheart at40 station play the Hot AC version of the show at any time? or just the main CHR version. Thanks!

A few months ago (or maybe late last year), they were playing strictly the Hot AC version. But when I tuned it after that, it was changed back to CHR, which I believe is the only version they play now.

I liked the stat going into #1. Ryan pointed out that Lorde was the youngest solo female to hit #1 since Miley Cyrus in 2009 with "Party In The USA."

I have to admit that I don't really hear anything different about Ryan's voice, but I remember one time when Casey had a really bad cold and apologized for it. Lots of new music played this week, and it was a good show. I like the new Icona Pop song better than the first one. Rihanna gets played twice, both enjoyable, but good riddance to Berzerk. It wasn't a keeper for me. My station, Y-100, has been only playing one, not three as previously, optional, and now is finishing on time. I wonder if someone at AT40 objected to the 15-20 minute overrun. The top 10 has 3 S songs to start, then ends with WRWR for the top 4. I appreciate the posting in the form LW before TW. It's so much easier to follow. (Kind of like toilet paper with the next sheet closer to you than to the wall.)

Why isnt Ellie goulding "Burn" on the chart? Because of time lag. Looking at the Mediabase week when Lorde went to #1, "Burn" would've been somewhere in the #55-#60 zone, with recurrents. Give her a few weeks. She'll be here, eventually.

Yes, but Can't hold merit is way bigger than Mirror's because oulasting a minort top 20 hit with short chart run, it's not exactly the same that oulast a big top 5 hit like Same love. In fact Mirrors longevity is clearly affected by the lack of impact that Take back the night, and even TKO are getting. Can't hold us is standing its ground after being followed by a big top 5 hit, and with another song near top 40 and ready to impact. It's quite impressive
