I LOVE Shane Owens single. Wonder what the rest of the album will be like and with the no name label he's on where that cd will be made available at. Hey Steelo... you can actually download the single from his website: http://www.shaneowens.us :) DJ That's cool but I already have the song downloded and was saying I wonder what the rest of the album will be like. BTW, that site isn't working.

Kenny Chesney has completed final tracking with co-producer Buddy Cannon for the November 8th release of The Road & The Radio, the follow up to Chesney’s quadruple platinum Country Music Association Album of the Year When The Sun Goes Down. Chesney wrote the title track for the upcoming release.
"We've been keeping plenty busy," Chesney said. "But I think by now everybody knows, not a day goes by that I'm not thinking about the music. And it seemed like we started looking for songs almost as soon as ‘Sun’ dropped, and we got to hear some pretty great stuff, too."

George Jones will cover songs by Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis and several other traditional country artists on his upcoming album, Hits I Missed ... And One I Didn't, to be released Sept. 13. The tracks include "Funny How Time Slips Away," "Here in the Real World," "Today I Started Loving You Again," "The Blues Man" (recorded as a duet with Dolly Parton), "Busted," "Too Cold at Home," "On the Other Hand," "Detroit City," "Skip a Rope," "Pass Me By," "If You're Gonna Do Me Wrong" and a newly recorded version of Jones' signature hit, "He Stopped Loving Her Today."

Sara has been moved back to TBA [FALL] Man, that stinks. I guess she isn't done with the record yet because the single is doing well enough to warrant an August album release.

OCTOBER!?!? My lord what are they thinking? Are they thinking that the top 10 will be THAT clogged until then? Her single is around #14-15ish and October is 3 months away!?
They must have had to go in and do some extra work... maybe they thought they wouldn't get many radio hits or something? I dunno, seems like a weird move to me for sure.

I heard Sara missed some deadlines, then she has been vacationing at her home in Oregon and didn't answer her phone for 4 weeks! She said she wasn't worried about the deadlines, she was just trying to make a quality cd.

Well, that's very good to hear. Sara is a great artist and I hope this delayed release will help the album sell. :) .

Looks like Tim's album may not be coming out until Feburary. He has his movie Flicka that he STARS in due to hit the screens Feburary 16th. Now it looks like his 3rd NBC special will air in Feburary during sweeps month, it is going to be a TWO hour special.
Now comes word that the album might come out during that time frame, so he will have a triple threat, movie, album and TV.
The album is shaping up though, since he has been singing some of the songs from the album.
1. Let's Get Drunk and Fight- he has been doing this one and it is hilarious, it is about a husband and wife and their marriage.
2. A very rowdy song called, "You Picked a He.. Of A Time To Go Crazy(talking about a woman)
3. That's What Friends Do(haven't heard this one yet)
4. Where Did I Go So Right(heard this one, awesome)
5. A very stone cold country song called "Train #10" or maybe called "Waiting on Train 10"
6. A song called "Workin" is a blue collar working type song in the vein of Merle's, "Workin Man Blues" song.
7. Remake of a Eddie Rabbit song called "Suspiscion"
8. Cover of the Warren Brothers song, "Between the River and Me"- awesome, awesome song
9. He did one at the Canada concerts this last weekend that will be on the album called, "Kristofferson" - very good. The only line I know is "open a bottle of bourbon, just like Kristofferson".

Brad Paisley - Time Well Wasted
1. The World 2. Alcohol 3. Waitin’ On A Woman 4. I’ll Take You Back 5. She’s Everything 6. You Need A Man Around Here 7. Out In The Parkin’ Lot (with Alan Jackson) 8. Rainin’ You 9. Flowers 10. Love Is Never-Ending 11. The Uncloudy Day 12. When I Get Where I’m Going (Featuring Dolly Parton) 13. Easy Money 14. Time Warp 15. Time Well Wasted 16. Cornography (featuring James Burton & the Kung Pao Buckaroos)
Those Buckaroos are Little Jimmy Dickens, Buck Owens, and George Jones, if I remember right from Mud on the Tires.

But say it hits the top 10 in two more weeks, then has a 7 or 8 week top 10 run up to #1 -- that would have the song peaking either one week early, or just in time. It's bizarre to think how slow the charts are, but I don't think the release is off by very much. Unless the song fades early, but I don't expect it to. Suds in the Bucket hit Billboard's #1 position in its 24th chart week; Place to Start has just finished its 13th week.

I think eight more weeks after this week is a pretty good guess at how long it will take Sara to reach #1: 2-3 more weeks for Toby, 2-3 weeks for Faith, and maybe 2 for B&D, and then time for Sara.
Brad's song, with an offbeat topic, could be another Celebrity, and peak at 2 or 3. SheDaisy should count their blessings that they somehow made the top ten.
Tim's song could still be a #1 contender, but is on pace to be passed by Sara in a couple of weeks, and would then have to follow her up. The last four weeks on Billboard, the audience margin between the two of them has gone from 4.13 to 3.65 to 1.94 to 1.49. I haven't seen this week's BB audience numbers yet, but Sara did have an audience gain almost twice as much as Tim's for the week on Mediabase (2.63 to 1.40), so it's likely the Billboard margin between the two of them has dwindled even further.
The 9/24/05 chart might be the one that finds Sara at the top if she does go indeed all the way, 10/1/05 at the latest.
