Hi, Can anyone tell me when, what is the next Diamond Rio single? I have been trying to fine out. Not sure if it's going to be 'In God We Still Trust' or 'Red neck love gone bad'. I not sure whats happing with they're music, which the last song didn't go very far and I thought it was a good song.
Hope someone can help.
Thank you.

I thought I had read in some of the CMA Fest reports that 'In God We Still Trust' was their next single. It was received well by live audiences.
I, too, hope they have some success left in them. I love their sound.

Do they still have a recording contract? I've heard rumors they're being dropped, but I haven't seen anything worth believing.
I love DR, but they had better find a new song about death, pump it full of extra strings, and get it out there fast before they disappear entirely from the radio.

I had heard that they were being dropped from they're label, but hadn't seen anything in print. Were I heard it from was from someone that posted it on a different message board. Well I think 'In God We Still Trust' is a great song and I have been hoping it will be the next single that will be coming out. I know when I hear it at shows I LOVE it.
Thanks for posting maybe someone will post a link to the song so we can hear all the time, till the CD comes out. Been waiting a life time for it.

They're still listed on the Arista Nashville website. They have their current single as One Believer. I haven't heard the rumor, but I did read somewhere that they want to release In God We Still Trust as their next single. I think they're getting some flack from their label about it though.

I saw this in the newspaper today and had to share. I have also posted this on a different message board. There is also a video to this song which I hope they release it soon also along with the song going to RADIO and I'm hoping they play it. It will be this: The chorus:
In God we still trust
Here in America
He's the one we turn to
Everytime the going gets rough
He is the source of all our strength
The one who watches over us
Here in America
In God we still trust
A verse:
Now there are those among us
Who want to push him out
And erase his name from everything
This country is all about
From the school house
To the court house
They're silencing his word
Now it's time for all believers
To make our voices heard
Diamond Rio guitarist Jimmy Olander conceded yesterday that the song is "politically charged" and "polarizing."
But he added, "That's the side we're on. Being so politically correct that you're forcing the country to turn away from God is not the way to go."
I'm in hopes this doesn't get deleted if it does you can read it in the Tennessean if you'd like.
YEAHOOOOOOO YEAHOOOOO It's a great song.
Can't wait to hear it again soon.. Maybe I'll see lots of people there with FLAGS I know I'm going to have one.

I just wish they could get a hit that's not about death or God. I loved That's Just That, In A Week Or Two, Meet In The Middle, Sweet Summer, I could go on and on. I can't for the life of me figure out why these guys can't get played. If they release the Redneck song they are done, if they release the God song it may be a moderate hit then the next single will flop and off they go again and this time it may be for good. It's a shame because this is my ALL- TIME favorite country band.

What happened to the Diamond Rio songs that showed a sense of humor? Unbelievable, It's All in Your Head (great lyrics), Beautiful Mess, Norma Jean Riley. I think they've gotten away from the mix that was successful for them, and their music has lost its playfulness.
I am not objecting to I Believe or One More Day, but a steady diet of ponderous songs will make them sink.

Too bad "Big Ol' Fire" wasn't released from their most recent album.

Yes 'Big Ole Fire' is a good song, there is a song I've heard in concert it's called 'Red Neck Love' and it's fast and funny and good also, It's been put out to radio and radio said NO to it, someone in that area picked ' Can't you Tell' and 'One Believer', so they released them which I might add didn't go anywere do to RADIO which they are the ones that helped PICK them to be release. I like ' In God We Still Trust' very much it's not real slow but it's about life and thats one of the things Diamond Rio Does Best. I'm not sure whats going to happen with this song but I do know that there is a video for it coming out in July. Then maybe Radio will play the song also. Why can't Rio do some of the same kind of songs other artist are which are being played and Rio's doesn't get played???
'In God We Still Trust' WOW what a Song...

Sorry to dredge this topic back up... I didn't want to start a new topic with one question.
I was listening to Diamond Rio's "One More Day" CD - does anyone know what singles were released to radio from this album, and in which order? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There were 4 singles. The first was "Stuff", then "One More Day", "Sweet Summer" and "That's Just That".

Stuff was higly ignored by radio and Diamond Rio took a shot at them by saying in the liner noted..."Thanks to country radio...We hope you like the rest of the "stuff" on the album". Of course One More Day was a smash. Then came Sweet Summer which should have been a huge hit and was ignored. That song painted the perfect scene of Summer. And That's Just That was ignored as well. I loved that song but it was really different. I really hate to see these guys struggle when their music really hasn't changed. It's not like they are putting out rap music now. It seems to be the same formula that has worked for them in the past. That same formula works for people like George Strait and Toby but Diamond Rio gets put on the back bunner. I hope this new song gets some airtime but only time will tell. I don't look for much. Their days are growing short and it really makes me lose faith in country radio.
