I don't like this song, but I'm now glad it entered the Alternative Songs chart this week (contradicting my previous post in this thread ). At least this shows that Active music can still do something on Alternative. Now if only Painkiller can follow suit.

Same thoughts as mine Painkiller will probably chart soon, but it disappeared from the Top 50 Mediabase recently. Not a good sign.

Hell Of A song!!! Love the Gangstyle vocals of the 80's. Def Leppard, Motley Crue ect... Rock N Roll with a addictive catchy choruses is what we need to kick RNR back into the game. I'm glad it went number one.

Am I the only one who hated this song? (Well, hate is a strong word but I really really really don't like this song)

Can't beleive I'm in total agreement with Bill Board this year on #1 Active Rock song of year. Congrats to the band for putting out a great rock song with ingredients from all eras of rock. Truly deserving of Number 1.

Truly deserving of Number 1. Ew. Active had many good songs reach #1 this year, this was not one of them. I really can't believe this got #1 Active song of the year - I personally would've given it to "Shepherd of Fire", "Take Out the Gunman" or "Words as Weapons" (all 3 of these are vastly superior).

Words As Weapons could've definitely stood a chance if it came out earlier than it did.

This was the worst song of the year, Billboard is a joke.

I can't get over the fact the lead singer was on Gossip Girl. For that reason I can't like them and "Heaven Knows" tried to be more than a rock song but failed. In This Moment is better.

Um, this is still #3 on Mainstream Rock.
I love this - it was my #12 song of 2014 - but c'mon now.

Seeing as Incubus is rising fast (well relatively, it's got a +48 bullet) at #12 and this is still falling, it looks like this should finally go recurrent on Mediabase Rock in a few days after 433 days as a current. I wonder what the record is for a song as a current on any format?

This song deserves to still be on the mainstream Rock charts 1000x more than "Stolen Dance" deserves to still be in the Alt chart. nuff said.

This song deserves to still be on the mainstream Rock charts 1000x more than "Stolen Dance" deserves to still be in the Alt chart. nuff said. But this has spent more than a year on the Mainstream Rock chart on Mediabase. Stolen Dance hasn't even spent a year on Alternative yet. In fact, with George Ezra, AWOLNATION, Death Cab for Cutie and Florence + The Machine rising quickly, Stolen Dance should go recurrent on Mediabase's Alternative chart in a few weeks' time. Although I do like both songs, I'm agreeing with most of everyone that this needs to go. Dr. Indie, I know that you like "Heaven Knows" a lot, but some songs need to vacate the chart for others. (and yes, I agree that Dangerous, Stolen Dance, Take Me to Church, and Riptide need to leave ok Billboard's alternative chart)

Well it finally fell out the Mainstream Top 10, so what's gonna happen is gonna happen.
At least this song didn't cause alot of other rock songs to go recurrent or peak higher on a chart, because there is always the Active Rock charts. Maybe they should come up with a mainstream Alternative chart where older songs can continue there chart life.
Anyway, I agree that things are bound to change on the Alternative chart top 10 and I can't wait.

Do you think this song would have been at least a decent hit on Alt. 5 or 10 years ago? I mean "Check My Brain" was a big hit back in 2009/2010, not so long ago.

Honestly; I was surprised "Heaven Knows" even got as high as it did on Alternative charts? I didn't think it had any Alt vibe at all. For me it was 100% Hard Rock. It did what I knew it would do on Active since the first time I heard it.
