I enjoyed the song, which reminded me of the songwriting and singing of the Louvin Brothers and friends (such as Emmylou Harris).
I know that the recent album paying tribute to the Louvin Bros. received critical acclaim, and a lot of great artists participated in that project, but I don't know what it would take to have a Louvin-style duet be a big hit. Let's see, Ira Louvin died in the mid-1960's. Charlie was still singing duets with Melba Montgomery in the early 70's. Hard to believe that in 2005 this one is going to be a hit record.
Good song, though. Nice harmonies. Hard to believe.
