If TOL can hold on to the chart long enough then it will hold off SYA from year-end top 2! GO ED! This is true. SYA is not a lock for #2 by any means.

How close is LMLYD to TMTC? If you go by Daniel's last mock points update, they're about 3,000 points apart. I think Ellie can pass him if she stays on the Hot 100 for a few more weeks.

I meant going by broccoli, but thank you! :) I forgot Daniel had the points in his list. Hopefully she can make at least 35 weeks

Anyway, according to my estimations, the point gap between LMLYD and TMTC is about 33.5k.... which means LMLYD will need to hang on another 4-5 weeks to move ahead of TMTC.

Oops, I made a typo But yeah I agree with your time line for how many weeks Ellie will need to pass Hozier, I wouldn't call 4-5 more weeks on the Hot 100 a lock, but it's still quite possible/manageable.

I'm wondering if Bad Blood is gonna have legs enough to spend any time in the top 10 this year. It should make it past Shake It off in the next few weeks, but from there it'll be awhile before it moves upward... especially since Cheerleader and Watch Me are both coming for that top 10. Not to mention CFMF, although it's still got a ways to go to catch up.
I'd say it's safe to say at this point that BB won't be in the final year end top 10. And I wonder how much damage Wildest Dreams will do in probably less than 3 months. Probably enough to make it into the top 100, I'm guessing.

I think Zac Brown Band - Homegrown has a chance to make year end list, its points in my predictions are higher than Throw Sum Mo, I Want You To Know, and Outside and its sorta close to Waves, Prayer In C, and She Knows

Has Bitch Better Have My Money been in the top 40 its entire chart run? If so, might have a chance at remaining in the year end top 50.

Everyone remember that due to the slower turnover this year the threshold to enter the top 100 is lower.

The longevity of "post to be" is freaking impressive! It may even get a shot of year-end top 20 should it not be collapsing out of chart..

The longevity of "post to be" is freaking impressive! It may even get a shot of year-end top 20 should it not be collapsing out of chart.. Sales were never very high to begin with, and still aren't, and since it is now collapsing on pop, I say it will fall off in three/four weeks. But you're right, the longevity is amazing. Not just on the chart but in the top 25. Actually, longevity for a lot of songs that peaked outside of the top 10 has been very impressive this year. Talking Body, Worth It, Elastic Heart, Take Your Time, Girl Crush, BBHMM, etc This is probably a bad question, but, if a song collects 300K points from a run on the Hot 100 and then goes recurrent, if this song was to get a big sales jump (e.g. #5 on digital sales) but doesn't re enter the Hot 100, if these sales were the equivalent of 5K points, on the year end chart, will these points be ignored since it wasn't charting on the Hot 100, or will its total points change to 305K?

No, those points won't count. Songs only collect points while they are on the Hot 100.

On my chart point predictions and rankings Homegrown is right behind Waves, Prayer In C, and She Knows. Not as close as the other 3 are together, but close. If 0 to 100 can make it with 17 weeks and a peak of 35, what makes it that Homegrown wont be able to when it spent 20 weeks on charts? The weeks that it was not in top 50, it was pretty close. Also keep in mind Somethin Bad only spent 2 weeks in top 50 last year and it made charts, because every other week, it was right below top 50.

Homegrown won't make it, it didn't spend enough weeks in the top 50.It's not about how many weeks a song spends in a certain section of the chart, it's about point totals... which nobody knows exact numbers so its all estimations... but, point totals can vary wildly from week to week for a song at a certain position on the Hot 100. #40 one week could have 9000 points, and the next week the song at #40 could have 8000 points. It's all very relative, and things like rank, peak, weeks on the chart can all be deceiving/misleading. All that being said, Homegrown has a very good chance of making the final year end top 100 from what I can see in my estimations.

There are 12 weeks left in the chart year. By my estimations based on the average points for #1, the best a brand new song can do now is maybe #20-ish.... and that would require the equivalent of debuting at #1 next week and staying there for 12 weeks... or having abnormally large point totals for several weeks. While possible, it's not likely.
It'll be interesting to see how Ariana Grande's upcoming single performs. And whatever other big names release something new in the very near future.

I'm hoping Ariana can get huge points, I hope it doesn't end up like LMH, stuck between two years :(

I don't think any new song will be able to enter Top-20. Maybe 1 or 2 will enter top-30.
